Gareth Wyn Jones, Welsh hill farmer and campaigner for British, sustainable, seasonal produce says the problems farmers face are the weather, big corporations, supermarkets and government.
He says that the introduction of an inheritance tax is devastating many family farms. There are already farmers who have committed suicide so that their families won’t have to sell their farms to pay the tax that starts in April next year.
“My father’s 88, never had a passport, never went on holiday, never bought expensive cars. He invested all his money back into the land, hopefully for the next generation to have it.”
“Any working farm that wasn’t sold to solar, that wasn’t sold to a wind farm, that wasn’t sold for building or construction, if that farm is producing food, that should be exempt from inheritance tax.”
If you want to avoid starvation from the government’s destruction of our farmers, you must listen to Gareth and buy food directly from our farms.
“Let’s start a farming food revolution right here, right now. It can never happen until the public gets behind the farming industry and starts to ask questions on our governments, on our supermarkets and on the elite in Davos. Corporate control over food means no farmers, but ‘fake food, fake economics and fake knowledge’.

Vandana Shiva; “There are literally five billionaires that have as much wealth as half of humanity and it’s growing fast. If you look at where their wealth comes from…….. do they work? No, they don’t. They just collect rents from money, our money. They collect rents from our minds. What does Facebook do? You exchange messages, they mine data from your Facebook messages. That extracted data is then sold on, either to corporations to sell you things or through Cambridge Analytica, to political parties. So you get an artificial intelligence president. I’ve quoted the Monsanto person saying ‘we need farming without farmers, because by getting rid of farmers we have new markets for surveillance, robotics and artificial intelligence’. Two big assaults that are coming are fake food and fake economics, and fake knowledge I would add. So the fake knowledge is replacing real intelligence, ecological intelligence, emotional intelligence, cooperative intelligence of communities at work, including the intelligence in the plants, the intelligence in the microbes, the intelligence of the bacteria in our gut. We are super intelligent, life is intelligence. They want artificial intelligence with some of our narrow programmes that are very mechanical, downloaded into a machine. Machine learning is artificial intelligence that will get rid of the farmer on the farm. I mentioned the fake economics of zero budgeting. Look out for it. When you see the term zero budget, be suspicious, it’s about externalising costs. Our studies have shown that farmers in the industrial system, whether it’s industrial production and industrial distribution, through the Walmarts, the Amazons and the big supermarket chains, farmers receive no more than 1 to 4% of the value. And that’s the case for coffee too. It’s only when farmers do direct distribution that you can have a chance of a fair price.
Fake food is the next big desperate attempt to try and extinguish our movement. The biggest solution to climate change is not to eat bad food and fake food and kill yourself through that, but become part of the healing of the earth by returning organic matter to the soil. We should stop calling ourselves producers of food because that’s a by-product of something much bigger that we do. We care for the earth, we generate her health, we regenerate the health, social health of our communities through social justice and the ecological health of each of our children through making their fundamental right to life real through the right to good food and real food, which can only come from real farms and real intelligence and real love and real giving.”
Bill Gates-funded projects set ‘science-based targets’ which will mean we will be eating factory-produced protein sludge, genetically-modified insects and franko-veg created in a genetic lab. Hungry?

‘A Thursday publication in The Lancet, titled “The EAT-Lancet Commission on Healthy, Sustainable, and Just Food Systems,” presents what the authors call “a great food transformation”—a coordinated global programme to reshape agriculture, diets, and financing so that every nation’s food supply fits within quantified “planetary boundaries.”
The food-system power grab comes as the same network of government agencies and Gates-funded projects are already re-engineering the genetic code of crops themselves—turning destructive plant viruses into self-replicating DNA platforms, illustrating how the push for “sustainability” and “climate-smart” agriculture doubles as a bid to centralise control over both the seeds in the ground and the food on our plates.
The new 80-page commission links its plan to the debunked “climate change”-aligned Paris Agreement, UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the Convention on Biological Diversity.
It proposes:
– worldwide limits on red-meat consumption,
– a yearly re-allocation of $200–$500 billion in farm subsidies,
– and continuous monitoring of national food systems under “science-based targets with monitoring and accountability mechanisms.”
The paper’s declared funders include the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, Wellcome Trust, IKEA Foundation, and Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, whose grants financed the work through the EAT Foundation in Oslo.’
Though the article itself laments that people don’t want to eat insects, we can celebrate that despite the massive PR stunt to promote insect food, common sense tells us to reject it. I can’t cut and paste any of the article but you can read it.

For years supermarkets have been greenwashing by labelling products with farm-like names – some of the names already belong to real farms but the law doesn’t help the real owner end the theft of their brand name.

Ben Aveling; “Quick question. When you see Rose Dean Farm eggs in Tesco or Woodside Farm Chicken, you would think it comes from a British farm, wouldn’t you? Then you would be wrong, those farms do not exist, they’re made up, fake, invented, pure marketing. And it’s not just Tesco, it’s across the entire supermarket industry. They call it farm branding. I call it farm washing, because that’s exactly what it is. So stick around, because what I’m going to say will change how you shop forever. Let me give you an example, Woodside Farm, run by a lovely guy in Devon called Richard, and Richard tried to sue Tesco because people kept asking him if he supplied Tesco and he said, no, I don’t supply Tesco. His name was at risk, reputation and everything, and on inspection he had realised that Tesco had been using the name since 2016, but just stole it. This is Radmore Farm, a real farm, where you can come, you can see it through the TV screen and you can see the animals. We exist, ‘Woodside Farm’ (on the Tesco label) does not exist. So you have Rosedean Farm, an invention by Tesco, it sounds beautiful, sounds quaint. It doesn’t exist, it’s purely invented, fabricated to trick you. And it’s not just named, there’s pictures of barns, all the things you normally see on real farm packaging has been stolen for marketing. Yet the product will not be from anything but mass-produced, huge commercial conglomerates, massive factory farms and more than likely it will be imported from a different country as well. You bought it thinking it was British. Even Morrisons used to do it, but about 2017 they got called out and they tried their best to stop doing it, but this practice is rampant across the whole industry. So then you’ve got another trick, the Union Jack, which can be placed on products even though they’ve been imported as long as they’ve been packed in this country, and other little loopholes. There was a case documented that Lidl put a Union Jack on New Zealand lamb just because it was packed in the UK. So you could have vegetables from Spain, eggs from Poland, chicken from China, and they slap a lovely flag on it with the Union Jack to make you think it’s from here, purely because of where it’s packed. They’ll probably even stick a little Farm Fresh label on it with a farmer with a flat cap, just to deceive us further. In the summer, we could literally get so much more from Britain and yet they’ll still use that Farm Fresh branding, which is nonsense. Riverford actually called supermarkets out on this. This is a real farm, no marketing, real mud, real farmers, no marketing fantasy. But why should this matter? It matters because you are getting conned. Supermarkets know you want to support British produce, you’re willing to part with your hard earned cash to buy what you believe is the best, supporting your nation and supporting your farmers. Instead, they’re taking the mick, taking us all for idiots and all while slapping on premium British price on foreign produce. In 2017, they did a survey and 70% of consumers felt completely conned by supermarkets. They are literally taking something that would be illegal to grow here and slapping on a British flag. And as farmers and consumers, we can’t compete with fake. You pay more, supermarkets make more and we all lose out. If you buy something that’s substandard, thinking it’s British, it can ruin our reputation. You expect the best from British farms and that’s what you should be getting, but we’re competing against farms that don’t exist. And when that Woodside guy found out he was supplying Tesco, that’s fraud, so what’s being done about it? What are farmers doing about it? We are standing up for you. But this is where I come in. This is my opportunity to do something about it, because fundamentally it affects you more than it affects me. So I’m going to share a few tips onto how you can spot it and not get caught. Tip number one, look out for the quaint little farm names in supermarkets, they’re more than likely going to be nonsense. Two, if you want real British produce in supermarkets, look for that tractor logo with the Union Jack. Red Tractor is probably the most reliable assurance scheme in Britain, but my favourite, buy direct from your farmer. And this is my mission here on this farm to give you the information you need to make informed choices. I don’t supply supermarkets. I can come on here and call them out and I’m going to make sure I do not stop doing that. Farm washing is undermining you, undermining farmers, and it has to stop. More videos like this and more information and you voting with your wallets will stop supermarkets doing it.”
Though the Red Tractor label guarantees that the product is British, their claim that the label guarantees high standards has once again been found to be false as it doesn’t even guarantee UK legal standards.

‘The UK’s advertising watchdog has upheld a complaint that Britain’s biggest farm assurance scheme misled the public in a TV ad about its environmental standards… the ASA said the ad must not be shown again in its current form. It said in future Red Tractor should make clear exactly what standards it is referring to when it uses the phrases “farmed with care” and “all our standards are met.”‘
Yes, people need homes to be built, but the public should be consulted to ensure housing developments look attractive for owners and neighbours and not just for banksters’ bank accounts.

Presenter; ‘The Government’s bill to ‘get Britain building’ returns to the House of Lords for its report stage. The Planning and Infrastructure Bill gained more than sixty Government amendments earlier this month to streamline the process and give ministers more power to grant permission for big planning projects. However conservation campaigners are not happy about the developments, and the Government’s rhetoric.’
It’s good that pigs being suffocated to death might end but the solutions also sound abysmal. The gentle solution must not be driven by cost as the constant drive to produce pork cheaper than a competing company will undermine pigs’ wellbeing and farmers’ survival.

Presenter; “An independent review of the way pigs are slaughtered has called for the use of carbon dioxide gassing to be prohibited, because it causes too much distress and pain to the animals. Ninety percent of pigs reared in England and Wales are slaughtered this way. The report was carried out by the Animal Welfare Committee, an independent expert committee from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Scottish government and the Welsh government. It recommends that argon gas should be used instead. We speak to vet Dr Jane Downes, who led the Animal Welfare Committee at the time the report was prepared. We also speak to the National Pig Association.”
Local, small-scale ethical production must be the driver.

‘Fifty-eight percent of respondents said their business would not be profitable without selling direct to consumers or through local markets – a model which depends heavily on private kill and further processing services offered by small and local abattoirs. ‘
For better tasting, ethically-produced pork, buy from farmers who keep pigs outdoors on fields and avoid unlabelled supermarket pork from factory farms where overcrowded pigs are pumped with antibiotics and fed genetically-modified soy from South America.
“Industrial animal production – in which large numbers of animals are crammed together in overcrowded sheds – is praised as being resource-efficient. ‘Look at how many pigs and chickens we can produce on this small parcel of land.’ But this is a deception, the clever trick of the card cheat. It hides the reality that a much larger amount of land is needed to produce the grain and soy used to feed industrially farmed animals. In fact, literally 99 times more land is needed to produce the feed for industrially farmed pigs and chickens than is used to house them on the farm. But a second tranche of resource-inefficiency must be factored in. Animals convert grain – wheat, maize/corn, barley – very inefficiently into meat and milk. Studies show that for every 100 calories of human-edible grain fed to animals, just 3-25 calories enter the human food chain as meat. And for every 100 grams of protein in human-edible grain fed to animals, just 5-40 grams of protein enter the human food chain as meat.”
When the big intensive farms go bankrupt due to the high cost of chemicals and machinery, solar farms are seen as the alternative. Instead we need people who are cooped up in cities to have access to land to grow food.

‘The largest farm management company in Britain is cancelling 20 percent of its contracts with landowners because it is becoming harder to make money from arable farming. Industry insiders fear swathes of the soon-to-be-released farmland could be turned into solar parks, which give landowners a greater return on investment.’
Factory pig farms in Northern Ireland are a major cause of pollution of Lough Neagh, a highest-level protected habitat.

“This week Friends of the Earth NI declared Stormont a crime scene. Decisions made by the Executive have caused the death of Lough Neagh and we’ve had enough. Give us an Environmental Protection Agency now!”
“So we’re declaring this building (Stormont) and the executive that resides in it a crime scene. Lough Neagh has been murdered by a whole range of different government departments.”
” I’m placing this MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) under a citizen’s arrest.”
“Around Ballyronan for much of the year. It is covered in toxic algae. We’ve had pets die locally. The stench is unbearable.”
“The real issues are sand mining on an industrial scale, the defunding of northern water and most importantly, the agricultural strategy, which is to demolish family farms and replace them with factory farms, despite the phosphorus inputs from the factory farms that has led to the death of Lough Neagh.”
The River Wye suffered a pollution disaster from hundreds of new-build factory chicken farms that reversed decades of work to clean the water. A judge ruled that the councils should not have granted the chicken farm permits, a verdict that is too late for the Wye but perhaps a good precedent to give councils the confidence to fight against factory farms in the future.

‘A series of recent landmark legal rulings have made it clear that councils must protect local people and wildlife from pollution caused by industrial chicken and pig units. The cases in Herefordshire, Norfolk and Shropshire relate to the pollution risks from untreated waste slurry and manure, climate change, and on protected conservation areas.’
Global trade treaties ensure that whichever corporation can produce the cheapest pork wins the competition, but if the true costs of lower standards (animal cruelty, antibiotic over-use, pollution, disease) were internalised, local small scale production would out- compete industrially produced pork. Vietnamese pork is a glaring example of the corporate take over. Cheap imports to Vietnam are now threatening the dominance of existing single-story factory farms, so they plan to remain competitive by building vertical, multi-story pig farms.

“While small-scale farmers are struggling with the African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak and have had to cull over 1 million pigs, several major livestock companies are reporting massive profits exceeding VND1 trillion.”
Even on a the small island of Jersey, corporate-sponsored politicians refuse to ban the toxic cancer-linked herbicide Roundup produced by Bayer which has already settled 131,000 cancer claims worth $11 billion, with thousands more in the pipeline.

‘Jersey will continue to follow UK and EU guidance on the use of glyphosate, despite new research suggesting the widely used and controversial weedkiller may cause multiple forms of cancer – even at doses previously considered safe. Deputy Hilary Jeune asked Environment Minister Steve Luce whether he would review the use of glyphosate after the Global Glyphosate Study by the Ramazzini Institute linked the chemical to several types of cancer.
Back in 2017, the Jersey Organic Association (JOA) petitioned the Environment Minister – which was also then Deputy Steve Luce – to bring forward legislation to ban the sale, importation and use of the products within the island. But his department dismissed a potential ban as “unreasonable and unjustified”. The department responsible for public works in Guernsey stopped using glyphosate in 2019 after a vote in the Island’s States Assembly. However, as recently as 2023, Guernsey’s politicians stopped short of banning its use by others in the island.’
As Jane Goodall famously said, “How could we have ever believed that it was a good idea to grow our food with poisons?”

He certainly didn’t have to prove that any of the carrots he grew didn’t have chemicals on them like we organic farmers have to do today. So here’s one, instead of organic farmers proving that their carrots are chemical free, how about conventional carrots are labelled chemical carrots and all the chemicals, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides that have been used in the production of chemical carrots are listed on the label. You go into a supermarket, you pick up your plastic bag of washed carrots, and you see all the different chemicals that are listed on these chemical carrots. Do you think things would change if that were the case? I certainly think so. As always, thank you for your support, it means an awful lot for sustainable, organic agriculture.”

Intro; ‘Anyone who tuned into the FAO’s World Food Day programme last week would be forgiven for coming away feeling that the world’s food system is in good hands.
Now wouldn’t that be a relief? Because, currently, the global food system is the single largest driver of climate breakdown, ecosystem degradation, pollution and preventable disease, and the number of hungry human mouths to feed is 800 million and rising. Wouldn’t it be nice if the UN truly had a cohesive, holistic plan to transform the global food economy into something that works for both people and planet?
The good news is such a plan exists. The bad news is the UN doesn’t have it. There is a way to produce considerably more food per acre while restoring soils, supporting biodiversity, and healing ecosystems. There is a way to feed the world and save the planet.
But that would mean going directly against what our governments – and the agribusiness interests that influence them – have been funding for decades.
Feeding the World and Saving the World – It’s up to us!
The propaganda surrounding the digital takeover of agriculture insists that young people don’t want to farm – they’d rather push buttons on screens. But that story is already outdated. Across the world, a new generation is returning to the land. From peri-urban farms outside Melbourne to community gardens in Detroit to cooperatives in Kerala, young people are trading office cubicles for the open sky, computer keystrokes for seeds and soil.
Supporting this movement would actually be far easier – and far less expensive – than to continue the ongoing displacement of populations, urbanisation, destruction of ecosystems, and scaling up of technological infrastructure involved in the top-down, globalist plan. It would be easier to listen to the global peasant movement and support them to stay where they are and do what they do. It would be easier to support young farmers and the local food economies which are already emerging naturally, without the support of policy. It would be easier to localise the production of our basic needs than to ship products around the world and back again.
This is the shift that can feed the world by producing much more food per acre with less energy, minerals and chemicals. This is the shift that can return health and life to ecosystems, rebuild soils and restore watersheds, contributing to long-term food security and the flourishing of the planet. This is the shift that provides more meaningful livelihoods while reweaving the fabric of community interdependence that makes life rich and joyous.
But for this movement to work its wonders, we all need to get involved. We can’t leave it to farmers, whose workload is already heavy. We can’t leave it to blinkered economists and politicians. And, despite their proficiency in all the right language, we can’t leave it to the FAO.
We need people to be involved, consumers to take a stand. We need a global, cross-sectoral movement for localisation.’
It’s a global tragedy that small scale farmers who feed their local communities are being forced off their land and into cities, to be replaced by mechanised, monoculture farming for distant markets.

“Did you ever notice how people say everyone left the land because farming was hard and life in the city was better? That’s not what really happened. People didn’t flock to cities out of choice, they were pushed. When the Enclosure Acts came in, wealthy landowners fenced off the commons, the land ordinary people used to grow food, graze animals and live freely. Suddenly, the poor had nowhere to farm, nowhere to live, no way to eat. So they went to the cities, not for freedom, but for survival. And what did they find? Crowded housing, long factory hours, polluted air and a promise of progress that never fed their souls. Then came the movies, the billboards, the glossy dream telling us that cars, money and status were the new symbols of happiness. And we believed it. We chased it until we forgot what real wealth feels like. Because you can have all the money in the world, but you can’t buy a loving meal with your family. You can’t buy meaning, community or connection to the land. That’s the great illusion. And maybe it’s time we wake up from it.”
Scottish politicians are debating the hugely controversial Land Reform Bill. Until the economy allows small scale farms to flourish, land redistribution seems ambitious but essential to allow access to land for new entrants of small scale farmers and allotments. There must be strict rules that the land only goes to people who want to feed us and not the banksters.

Presenter; “Farmers and landowners in Scotland are keenly watching events at the Holyrood Parliament in Edinburgh this week. The Land Reform Bill has reached its final stages before MSPs get to vote on what’s been described as landmark legislation. The bill, if passed, could for the first time allow the government to intervene in private land sales and require large estates to be broken up. The Government says it wants to address the high concentration of land ownership in the hands of relatively few people in Scotland. But their proposals are proving controversial with landowners and some opposition politicians. Phil Sim is a political correspondent for BBC Scotland and he told me what’s behind this legislation.”
Philip Sim; “It feels like there’s a big land reform bill just about every term of the Scottish Parliament, or at least when looking at crofting, there are perennial issues here. But there is still a big issue with the highly concentrated ownership of land, particularly around the Highlands, around the south of Scotland, these are the big, rural areas of Scotland. They reckon there’s about 400 people own 50% of Scotland’s land, and the government say that just doesn’t feel right. So they’re looking at these reforms which go to really unprecedented places in terms of trying to change how land is owned, how it’s managed. Here is the Scottish Government’s Rural Affairs Secretary, Mairi Gougeon, explaining a little more about it.”
Mairi Gougeon; “It’s about transparency, involving communities in decisions around the land where they live and work, and making sure they’re a fundamental part of those important decisions. It’s about diversifying land ownership. Scottish ministers determining whether we can lot land when large estates go up for sale, which we think is a really significant and important power, and also making sure that our tenant farmers are fairly compensated, that we have the ability to look after our small landholders and see more small landholders in Scotland too.”
Presenter; “So what exactly will the bill do, Phil?”
Philip Sim; “So it’s chiefly focused on large land holdings. So estates of over a thousand hectares, they will have to publish a land management plan so that people have a better idea of what’s going on on the land. And there will also be more opportunities for communities to lease land on these estates and indeed, when they come to be sold, the government could actually step in if there’s a possibility that you’re just going to see like a quick private sale, because you have heard complaints before from communities that they haven’t had the opportunity, they kind of find out their landlord has change after the fact of a private sale, so there could be more time and opportunity for community groups to potentially organise and bid to take control of land. There’s also the possibility of large plots of land being broken up and sold in smaller lots, if that could make the local community more sustainable.”

Stuart Rogers; “So we have 250 pedigree Holsteins, (producing) eleven and a half thousand litres (of milk), and they graze for as long as we can, which could be six to eight, nine months if the conditions allow. How we’re able to do that is the change of management in the grazing. So we haven’t used any fertiliser on the grazing for five, six years. We don’t use any grassland machinery to manage it, it’s primarily the cows, so that transfers into the health of the soil with the herbal leys and the diverse pastures that the cows are grazing, the way we manage the cows and the different intervals they go into the paddocks to graze, so we have really good soil health, a good functioning ecosystem under the cows, which is created from the management of the cows and then that is able to give us a lot of grass at this time of year, so we’re able to extend our grazing period. So we’ve recently won the Carbon Farmer of the Year award with the farm carbon toolkit and incredibly proud to have done that. And how we’ve managed to do that is the changes we’ve made to the way we grow maize, the cover-cropping, the reductions in inputs, and we continue to push that forward. We’ve made big changes in the grazing and how we manage the cows at pasture, with diverse pastures, with multi-species leys, herbal leys, and then the implementation of the agroforestry. So that is now in its third year and we’re seeing some big changes in and how that’s looking and we’ve rolled that out further. But it then creates so many benefits to the cows, the different browsing opportunities they have, the shade shelter than what we see underground as well, the impacts, the ripple effects down into the soil. We didn’t really appreciate just how that would transfer through, but so now that’s just continues to grow and increase year on year, so thats great.”

‘Veterinarian Roger Meacock speaks out about the attack on UK farmers from government and industry policy. Roger covers a wide range of topics, including offering some solutions that farmers can adopt. Roger is a courageous and lone voice from the veterinarian sector that is actively helping and speaking out for farmers and their cause. Roger has produced a peer-reviewed paper which exposes the flaws of the tests that Defra will use to initiate “cull orders” [kill orders] on a farmer’s herd or flock. This paper could be an effective line of defence for farmers, who like Roger question the efficacy of these testing procedures. Roger’s paper is available to download freely from his website, which is linked below. Farmers and the equine industry need to stand shoulder to shoulder with practitioners such as Roger who risk their livelihood to speak out. Currently Roger is the only (very vocal) veterinarian that I am aware of who has gone to such lengths to challenge government policy in support of the farming industry, and he needs our support.

‘The report shows that if market gardens were to produce 20% of N. Ireland’s vegetable supply, they would be able to supply more than 160,000 households with a weekly veg bag. This would require 1,673 hectares more land to be brought under horticultural production, or the creation of around 557 more market gardens (of around 3ha in size).’
Though many farmers will have made their farm decisions presuming there would be no payment, better this very late reprieve than none!

Growers in the Lee Valley on the edge of London say they have large electricity connections for times of heavy use, but often use much less power. Since 2022 they’ve been charged based not only on what they use, but also on the size of the connection. And they say that from April next year those standing charges will effectively double. Lee Styles from the Lee Valley Growers association told me energy is already expensive.”
Lee Styles; “Growers are paying over £1,000 per meter per month in standing charges. And obviously, being a seasonal business, they’re not using it for several months of the year. The size of the nursery requires more than one connection, so they’re paying standing charges multiple times.”
Charlotte Smith; “Now you’re expecting price increases from April. How much are you looking at?”
Lee Styles; “Well, it could be at least double, as far as the growers are aware. It’s just another added cost that has to be factored into the cost of producing food. It’s another blow for the grower.”
Charlotte Smith; “Can you pass that price increase on to retailers and ultimately to consumers?”
Lee Styles; “They’ll have to. They’ll either have to pass it on or they’ll have to stop growing and diversify, which unfortunately many already have.”
Charlotte Smith; “And what are they diversifying into?”
Lee Styles; “Well, a lot of them are looking to sell their whole nurseries for housing and a lot of growers are taking down bits of glass and putting in light industrial units just to keep the growing business going. But that’s not sustainable in the long term.”
Charlotte Smith; “There is a network charging compensation scheme where some businesses can recoup up to 60% of the charges that we’re talking about. Can these businesses use that?”
Lee Styles; “No, not at the moment, because growers are not eligible for that. They’re not classed as an energy intensive industry. They already pay climate change levy on their energy bills and have to claim back a percentage of that. But, I mean, they’re not even eligible for this scheme.”
Charlotte Smith; “In the Government’s industrial strategy, it does talk about reducing energy bills for high energy users. Does horticulture come into that?”
Lee Styles; “There’s been no such thing as a reduction in energy bills for any growers. It’s only been going the other way.”
Charlotte Smith; “Given that many of the growers, as you say, are selling off land or turning to other income streams, is it really time that this little section of growers on the edge of London moved out, moved to bigger premises where maybe they can make it pay a bit?”
Lee Styles; “Well, the problem is that you’re looking at £750,000 for an acre of glass house nowadays, and that’s far beyond the means of many growers. And that’s more than they’d get for their existing sites as well. It’s not a viable option.”
Charlotte Smith; “It is a relatively small part of the salad grown here in the UK. Does it matter?”
Lee Styles; “Well, it matters if you don’t want empty shelves again, because we’re so reliant on overseas imports. They can pretty much charge what they like at the moment because there isn’t a domestic competition to go against it.”
Charlotte Smith; “What’s the solution then for this particular issue?”
Lee Styles; “Well, I think growers would just like some help. I mean, we’ve been used to not having any help for many decades now, but it seems to be that we’ve gone from being ignored to being actually targeted. If the government wants to keep food prices low, they’re going to have to help domestic producers.”
Charlotte Smith; ” In a statement the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero told us that only energy-intensive industries, where energy is a high percentage of their costs, qualify for the compensation scheme, but that will be reviewed next year to ensure support continues to be directed to the most energy and trade intensive sectors in the economy.”
US farmers are also facing mass bankruptcy due to their massive debts from expensive inputs while their markets are forever lowering the price paid for commodities. When faced with starvation it’s time for people to squat the land and demand to grow their own food, otherwise the banksters will scoop up the land for rewilding while we are forced to buy franken gloop produced in a lab.

‘Dust, mud, noise and disruption, HGV convoys, broken promises and cracks in the walls of local houses.The local community is still reeling from the construction of the Cleve Hill solar plant in Kent. But after two years of what was described by a local as a “nightmare” build programme at the UK’s first – and currently only – ‘NSIP’ solar facility to be constructed, locals say that there is still no sign of the landscape planting the developer was required to fund and deliver as part of its Development Consent Order. None of the agreed community ‘benefits’ have been delivered, and the promised biodiversity ‘improvements’ have not materialised either. In the PR for the scheme, the original developer promoted Cleve Hill’s ability to provide clean power to local homes. The output is instead sold under Power Purchase Agreements for Tesco and Shell.
Residents living close to the building site had to deal with problem after problem, from flooding, through illegally closed footpaths, to “soul destroying” noise when the builders switched to a different pile-driving technique for the extensive foundations to support racking for the 600,000 solar panels.
Many people feel that everything has been taken from them: nature, wildlife, birds – all the owls, geese, marsh harriers, kites which so abounded appear to have largely disappeared – recreational space, productive land, culture, heritage, the whole of the marshes and its unique landscape, peace and quiet.”

‘Island Green Power has offered landowners up to £50,000 to secure access for the UK’s largest proposed solar farm, contingent on their agreement not to object to the project near Chippenham, Wiltshire. The developer’s Lime Down Solar Park plans include burying cables across farms, prompting around 45 letters to be sent to farmers, as seen by The Telegraph. The letters, part of agreements lasting up to five years, required recipients not to object to the scheme and to write to energy secretary Ed Miliband, withdrawing any previous objections. Island Green Power has since admitted the condition “should not have been included” and promised to send corrected versions of the offer.
Wiltshire Council opposed the Lime Down plan in July. Speaking to The Telegraph, councillor Martin Smith criticised the developer’s approach, describing the letters as “almost akin to bribery”. He accused the firm of trying “to trample over the democratic process and the people being affected.” A farmer who received the initial letter described feeling “threatened” and said recipients felt they had “no option but to sign”.
If approved, Lime Down Solar Park would cover more than 800ha over five sites, making it the largest solar farm in the UK. Campaign group Stop Lime Down note that arable land in the UK is declining and that the farmland planned for development is 30% “best and most versatile” farmland. The project includes a 14-mile cable route connecting to the National Grid, with solar sites surrounding Norton village and impacting nearby communities including Alderton, Corston, Foxley, Grittleton, Hullavington, Rodbourne, Sherston, and Malmesbury.

Why survival should be “tough” news wasn’t clarified, but Gates offered a summary of his thesis:

I wouldn’t normally be in the habit of quoting Politico, but you’re lucky, we’ll break a habit seeing as we’re here. And when they even saw some of the dossiers and they said one of the packets that had somebody sanctioned was; 10 open-source links with varying degrees of reliability. Another was 9, another was 4. Articles in publications like the Financial Times and Reuters were heavily relied on, badly translated, probably AI translated articles from Russian and Ukrainian sources. One was a lifestyle magazine affiliated with the Russian government, but it generally talked about cookery rather than actually news and all this sort of stuff. There was even a woman who was sanctioned for performing a concert in Crimea. I kid you not. I mean, this wouldn’t pass muster in a classroom, not to mind a courtroom. But this is what’s been talked about as evidence in the European Union. Evidence of Russian interference. No oversight. Civil servants draw up a list which is on the advice of the Commission and Member states, and then 27 EU foreign ministers go behind a closed door and vote to sanction you or not. And if you’re targeted by an EU sanction, you don’t hear the charges against you, you don’t get a trial, you don’t get a right to defence. The first thing you find out about this is a letter coming in your door telling you that your bank accounts have been frozen and that you’re banned from entering or leaving the country. And the guy who was sanctioned in Germany, I’m just going to briefly read his account of that because sometimes we bandy words around here about things like sanctions and they seem a bit depersonalised. Well, what does that actually mean to a real person? Well, this guy explained it and he said, ‘I haven’t been charged with anything, I haven’t stood trial, I haven’t been found guilty of any crime, I’d no chance to defend myself. But the EU sanctioned me for my pro-Palestinian journalism and stripped me of my rights. I’m not allowed to buy food, I’m not allowed to buy medicine for my children, I’m not allowed to pay for my lawyer, I’m not allowed to leave the country I live in, I’m not allowed to enter the country I live in, I’m not allowed to get a job, I’m not allowed to make payments, I’m not allowed to receive payments. I’m not allowed to pay my rent. Every single time, for every single case, I have to submit a file and ask permission and then I have to wait several days for approval’. And in case any of you are feeling a bit sorry for him and think that you might send him a few bob just to help him out, well, I’d be very careful about that because you too could then be sanctioned for the crime of circumventing a sanction from the European Union and you could find yourself on a sanction list as well. Now this kind of sounds like tin pot sort of stuff, but this is democracy now in the European Union and it is the new repression as Andrew had called it, because we have hybrid sanctions against EU citizens for exercising the very rights that Michael McGrath lauded in these buildings a number of weeks ago as being enshrined in our constitutions here. So what we see is, in their so-called battle between democracy and authoritarianism, the European Union is becoming incredibly authoritarian in their actions.”

Mike Yeadon; “If you sign up for digital ID, it’ll be the last really important decision you make, because your digital ID will be the only thing that your governments, institutions and anybody authorised by those holding power will recognise you through. So you won’t exist anymore, you’ll be replaced by a QR code. You are not a number, you’re an address to some resources. And that makes it particularly dangerous because those resources can be edited. And one of those fields for sure will be your vaccination status. And I’m absolutely sure, because I’ve seen it written down in multiple documents, that your digital ID will only remain valid if you comply with the conditions of validity. So one of them will be, have you had your latest recommended or mandated jabs? And because of the fact I’m qualified in toxicology and worked for decades with others in what’s called rational drug design, when I look at these jabs, the constituents, I am certain, formally certain, that they were designed to hurt you. And so the digital ID will lose validity unless you roll your sleeve up. You must see that’s designed to injure and I believe, ultimately kill you. But you won’t be able to escape that because all your money will also be associated with your digital ID. So let’s say you’ve gone to a supermarket, you want to buy a drink and a sandwich, you’ll beat them through and it’ll say, how do you pay? And it’ll say, present your digital ID and the cash register, as it were. The cashless system won’t proceed until you show it your QR code. And if you’re not vaccinated, and if that means your digital ID is not valid, it will say, sorry, transaction refused. The merchant will not be able to sell you the product. So you can see how difficult this is. Now, a valid digital ID, just like a valid passport, is today required to cross a border. And I have no problem with a passport, of course, but I’d be pretty cross if to buy petrol I had to show my passport, or to buy a bottle of water I had to show my passport. But that is what’s coming. You’ll have to show your digital ID. If you said hurtsy words on the Internet, you might find that your digital money doesn’t work. If you’re outside of your 15-minute zone and you’re not authorised to be, you will not be able to buy anything, that’s what’s coming, it’s the ultimate tool of slavery, it’s called the digital gulag by other people. I think that’s not a bad phrase. And the way to stop that happening is to put your foot down and don’t sign up for it.”

So in a device like your smartphone and most modern smartphones in the last five or seven years, they have a 3D camera module in the front of the phone, which you cannot see. Within that module is a near infrared projector, which projects tens of thousands of dots on your face. Those dots are then distorted based on the contours and the features of your face. And there’s a near infrared camera then takes a picture of that distortion, captures it, and then reverse engineers the exact profile of your face. In the longer term, facial recognition will be used to unlock your digital identity, which is going to be a tool of control for the agendas that are coming down the pipeline.”

If there’s a ring camera also in your home, a mesh network is formed and all your devices are being tracked within the home, its location, its usage, and all the data is going to Amazon servers when you leave your home. All modern vehicles are connected to the Internet, so your automobile is being tracked all the time. When you’re going under a string of smart LED poles and smart LED lights on the highway and in the streets of your towns and cities, those form a wireless network and are tracking your vehicle, they are tracking all the devices on you, from smartphones to smartwatches when you’re walking on the streets. So data is being collected 24/7 continuously on every human being whenever you are within these wireless networks. And it’s obviously not good for health also because of all the electromagnetic radiation.
In the long term, the plan is to pretty much lock up humanity in smart cities, which is kind of a superset of a 15-minute city. They’ve told all the state and local governments and countries that smart cities are about sustainability and the good of the city, but in reality the language from the UN and WEF and their white papers is all inverted. So AI monitoring is really about limiting mobility and no car ownership. Surveillance control via LED grid is why the smart lighting is dead. Water management is about water rationing. Noise pollution is about speech surveillance. Traffic monitoring is about limiting mobility. And then of course, energy conservation is all about rationing heat, electricity and gasoline. Another concept one should be familiar with is called geofencing, think of it as an invisible fence around you where you cannot go beyond a certain point and that’ll be related to your face recognition, digital identity and access control. Your smart contracts software can turn off your digital currency beyond a certain point from your house. Our world has been turned into a digital panopticon. That means you can be monitored, analysed, managed and monetised.”

Ben Rubin; “Artificial intelligence. What could possibly go wrong? We’re going to migrate all of government to a new technological paradigm. It’s completely experimental. All core functions of major government departments are now going to be run on these new algorithmic systems built by multinational corporations owned by unaccountable billionaires with zero loyalty to the British people.
So the One Big Thing, which runs from October until February next year, is about civil servants learning to use AI confidently and responsibly and applying it to the work that they do, which is all about apparently helping us be more efficient and effective as we deliver for citizens, even though that doesn’t appear to be the outcome of this. Who’s pushing this into the system? So Behavioural Insights Team, absolutely front and centre in this, they released a kind of a blockbuster report actually. I mean the amount of work that has gone into this, the AI and Human Behaviour report, where they look at augmentation, alignment and adaptation inside companies and government departments. We’ll put a link to this like really in some ways a phenomenal piece of work until you really begin to understand what it is that they’re trying to achieve with it. They develop this process that they’re taking organisations through, which is about moving from no adoption on the left hand side there in the centre, to deep adoption on the right hand side and helping people to build motivation, trust and capability to migrate along this journey, essentially overcoming threats to things like competence, relevance and identity, so this is about manipulation and coercion into engagement with this new technology and overcoming questions like why am I making myself redundant? Which is probably what a lot of people are asking as this stuff is being rolled out. Now that report has come from this fellow Michael Holdsworth, PhD, who’s the chief behavioural scientist at the Behavioural Insights Team, still basically not directly owned by the British Government, but essentially operating as a kind of non governmental organisation as part of NESTA, we talk about them pretty much every week, certainly I do, and this guy actually was one of the original co-authors of the Mindspace document, so the original document that came out in 2010, which was the precursor to the Behavioural Insights team in the Nudge Unit developed in the Cabinet Office underneath David Cameron, obviously working closely with David Halpern, who’s still the president, I believe, emeritus of the Behavioural Insights team. And this guy’s new book, entertainingly is called the Hypocrisy Trap, which apparently means he’s telling us that we need to rethink hypocrisy and that will improve our relationships. You can’t be too judgmental on this stuff, you know, these are the people pushing this stuff out into the system, and it’s not just Labour Insights Team and UK government, this is the whole, what do they call it? Civil society, charitable foundation, tech-entrepreneur, tech-visionary paradigm is pushing this thing forward. Let’s have a look at Omidyar Network, they’re talking about envisioning a future where our shared humanity steers our digital future. And they introduced this term recently, which is about hardwiring humanity to the grid. Think about that. They want to hardwire us to the digital control grid, starting in government, but then absolutely rapidly moving across the rest of society as well. And this stuff is dangerous. I’m going to be completely upfront with you, and we know it already, not least because of its provenance and where it’s come from. But, you know, this report issued by MIT earlier on this year talks about this idea of cognitive debt and the fact that in their controlled trial, people who were using AI performed worse than their counterparts in all levels. So this is destroying people’s minds and it’s being pushed into the education system. The whole thing’s also built on fraud as well, pretty much, so they’re certainly playing fast and loose with intellectual property legislation. OpenAI submitted some evidence to the Lords Communications and Digital Committee, start of last year, start of 24, and they were asked if they could explain their position on the use of copyrighted material. They said, well, it would be impossible to train today’s leading IO models without using copyright materials which they haven’t paid for, so essentially they’ve ignored the law. Let’s just say that.”

Iain Davis; “We are looking at a very draconian behavioural control system that is going to control everything we do, that’s what social credit is all about. Social credit is just the set of rules that you apply to a system like this. So, for example, we’ve got a problem in the UK with lots of people being hounded and in some cases arrested and in fewer cases prosecuted and fewer still go to prison for things that they’ve said on social media. Now, the IMF has already suggested that if we have digital ID log on to the Internet, our Internet browser history should form part of our social credit history. The IMF arguing for that 10 years ago, so if you go online in the UK and say I think Keir Starmer should be booted out of government, or I think the government should be turned off. If you do something like that, that will be a black mark in your social credit history. Now, that won’t necessarily affect you going to the doctor or something like that, but it could well affect you if you go for a job interview, you know, that you’re looking at.
Bill Gates has openly said that he wants digital ID to be linked to your vaccine status. So let’s say you’ve got your biometric digital ID passport and you’re legally entitled to fly, but when you present your document at the airport or whatever it comes up, you haven’t got your vaccines, you’re not up to date with your vaccines and it’s an entry requirement, so you can’t fly. At the moment, none of these systems are quite joined up together, they’re not joined up, and that is the whole point. I’m writing another piece at the moment to stress this point, that the whole point of digital ID, it is to bring all these systems together and that will be done on the back end of these systems to bring them all together so that all of your data is constantly available to anybody with the permission to see it. And that could be anyone, that could be a bank, that could be an insurance broker, that could be the police, obviously, that could be school teachers, anyone that has permission, that is an approved access. So basically, it’s going to be multinational corporations, isn’t it? It’s going to be Palantir, it’s going to be Oracle, it’s going to be Accenture, they’re going to have access to it. And is that the hill to die on? Yeah, I think it is, actually.”

But why am I saying this? Well, let’s just have a look at two quotes here. This is the first one, she’s talking about the case, ‘This has raised broader questions around the influence and impact that conspiracy theories held by parents where beliefs stretch far beyond genuine concerns can have on children, including adult children. And in order to help protect children in the most extreme cases, where should the line be drawn between child protection and a parent’s freedom to raise their child according to their own beliefs?’ This is immensely dangerous, and people should remember that a few years ago children’s services were used in the UK to attack a family because of their political beliefs in supporting UKIP.
Marianna Spring goes on to say (trusting parents versus the state). In theory, children should be protected. Any adult can raise concerns about a child’s well-being with a local authority, including if there’s a worry a child is being harmed by parental beliefs. If it’s then decided the child is at risk of harm, an application can be made to the family court for orders to protect them.’
‘But in reality, legal experts tell me’, this is Marianna Spring, ‘the threshold for intervention is high’. Well, of course, she knows nothing about the so-called child protection system. And I believe that what’s happening here is an immensely dangerous attack on parents for their beliefs with the implication that children will be taken from you as a family if you do not have the correct political and social beliefs. There is a ton of different stakeholders here. People from corporations, government, academia. Ukrainian, Israeli and Taiwanese officials were also on the scene to represent the frontline proxies of American Empire State, sustaining the arms industry through their constant demand for massive military aid. Members of all four branches of the armed forces were present as well, participating throughout the event in a friendly drone competition. A booth by the International Committee of the Red Cross seemed slightly out of place inside this conference. It turned out the Red Cross’s comms team was inside distributing pamphlets advising other AI Expo participants on how to kill fewer civilians and pleading with them to follow international law.

The three parties have as “ambition to establish pandemic preparedness in 2026 and supply cell-based flu vaccines for the 2026/27 Flu Season,” per the release.

‘COVID-19 vaccines and boosters — both mRNA and non-mRNA — pose an increased risk of six types of cancer and a 27% higher risk of cancer overall, according to a recent South Korean study of over 8 million people. Four South Korean researchers published the report last week as a letter in Biomarker Research, a Springer Nature journal.
According to the study, COVID-19 vaccines and boosters are associated with a higher risk of breast, colorectal, gastric, lung, prostate and thyroid cancer, across all vaccine types and age groups.
Mainstream medical commentators were quick to dismiss the findings, with MedPageTodaydescribing it as “flawed.” But other medical and scientific experts disagreed.
“In plain terms: both major COVID-19 vaccine platforms appear to be carcinogenic,” epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher wrote in a post on Substack.
Dr. Angus Dalgleish, a medical oncologist, told The Defender the study builds on other recent findings but “is the first to show that cDNA non-mRNA] and mRNA vaccines are associated with cancer risk, suggesting that the [spike protein is directly carcinogenic.”
Medical commentator John Campbell, Ph.D., said this week on his YouTube show that the research marks “the largest-scale study so far” examining the association between the COVID-19 shots and cancer.

Max Blumenthal; “Well, we’ve been following the war on Venezuela for years at the Grayzone, and this is a war that began, let’s say, in 2002 with a coup, a military coup that removed the elected president Hugo Chavez. The people of Venezuela marched on Miraflores Palace and demanded his release, and Chavez was returned to office, won several successive elections after nationalising the national oil company and using its wealth to fund social programmes. The war was officialised in 2015 when Obama announced a sanctions regime on Venezuela and again attacking its oil industry, which led to migrant waves to the US, mass poverty, we saw the attempt at a military coup in 2019 under the watch of Juan Guaido and his mentor Leopoldo Lopez, who helped lead the 2002 coup that completely failed. What the US and Venezuelan opposition got out of it though, is Venezuela’s largest foreign asset, Citgo, which is like foreign wing of PDVSA (Petrolios de Venezuela), and they’re just feasting on that carcass and making millions and millions of dollars. It’s now under the control of Elliott Capital Management, which is the hedge fund run by Paul Singer, the vulture capitalist who has funded Marco Rubio’s entire career. But up until this point, all of the coup attempts have failed. The Operation Gideon attempt by Jordan Goudreau, the US mercenary who I recently interviewed, failed. And as Goudreau said, the reason it failed is that his contacts in the Trump administration had no ability to recruit high level military figures to actually flip, and the one that they had actually recruited, that Goudreau was training with in the jungle of Colombia, Cliver Alcala, after the coup failed, the Trump administration put a bounty on his head, arrested him and threw him in a federal prison. So the rest of the military looked at this and said, there’s no way we’re breaking with Maduro. So now, as the Wall Street Journal has announced, basically citing US officials, Maduro is coup-proof. So the only other option is straight up military force, but they needed a pretext for the military force and so that’s why Marco Rubio worked to portray Venezuela and Maduro as a narco-terrorist regime. This is how he got Stephen Miller on his side as well, and now they’ve defined any boats that are in the periphery of Venezuela as narco-terrorist targets. The terrorism designation allows them to completely skirt Congress, international law. Any rules of engagement go, and this itself is a pretext for strikes inside Venezuela, which could potentially be decapitation strikes targeting the Venezuelan leadership because they have been defined as the leaders of a cartel which does not actually exist, known as the Cartel of the Suns. This is the source of the $50 million bounty currently over the head of Nicolas Maduro. As we explained at the Grayzone, the Cartel of the Suns was created by the CIA in the early 90s, before Hugo Chavez had even taken power, and all it was were a series of Venezuelan National Guard leaders, or figures who wore a sun patch on their uniforms, who were recruited by the CIA and DEA to preside over drug shipments into the United States. So the CIA was presiding over drug shipments, 20 tonnes of cocaine into the United States, the command was ‘let the dope walk’ and they wanted to provide the DEA with intelligence on who received the cocaine and who was dealing it in US cities. And so they flooded US cities with cocaine. The CIA did that and then this cartel totally disappeared and was resurrected in order to provide a pretext for Marco Rubio’s military assault on Venezuela and potential decapitation strikes. Because every other US coup attempt, colour revolution, violent riots, everything else has failed up until this point. And I’m hearing some rumours that there are US planes currently in Venezuelan airspace. I’m talking to Venezuelan sources who believe something big could happen at any point. And we are now on the precipice of a very, very dangerous war which could destabilise a country of 28 million and lead to another massive migration wave as well as a civil war if this regime change war succeeds.”

Judge Napolitano; “Do we know of any evidence of the Maduro government being involved in drug trafficking? It is more likely that the CIA has been involved in drug trafficking than the Maduro government. Is that an exaggeration, the statement I just made?”
Aaron Maté; “The supposed Venezuelan cartel that Maduro is alleged to be the head of, they don’t exist anymore, and when they did exist, they worked with the CIA. The CIA worked with them and actually let them bring drugs into the US because they wanted to use that to help penetrate Colombian drug cartels. But that was a long time ago, and now this fictional cartel that Maduro heads is just an invention by the Trump administration to justify the regime change operations. It’s just so obvious. This has been an obsession of people like Marco Rubio for a long time, and in Trump’s first term, they tried a coup in Venezuela, it didn’t work, so now they’re dusting off this old playbook of basically accusing a foreign leader of being the head of a drug cartel and achieving regime change that way.”
Judge Napolitano; ” Is their goal to kill Maduro or to capture him and install this lady that is a CIA and Mossad asset, the one that won the Nobel Peace Prize?”
Aaron Maté; “Her name is María Corina Machado, literally funded by the US government, has called for regime change, has promised to offer up Venezuela’s resources to the US if it can change the government. And yet she’s the current favourite in Washington, and that’s why she was given the Nobel Peace Prize. The US has been trying to overthrow the Venezuelan government for more than two decades. There was a coup against Hugo Chavez back in the early 2000s that didn’t work because Chavez had such massive popular support. And so ever since then, the US has turned to the traditional method of just an economic embargo. Crushing sanctions designed to destroy Venezuela’s economy. John Bolton admitted this. John Bolton admitted recently to the Washington Post that he knew sanctions he imposed on Venezuela would destroy its economy and cause millions of migrants, the same migrants that Trump demonises during his presidential campaigns. But it was all worth it to John Bolton and now the second Trump administration, even though they’re now indicting John Bolton for mishandling documents.”
Judge Napolitano; “Do you believe that we will, that the United States will invade Venezuela?”
Aaron Maté; “That’s a great question. So far they’ve tried other methods. So, for example, a Venezuelan pilot who flies Maduro around the world, he’s just claimed that the US has been trying to bribe him for a long time to get him to switch sides to, during one of Maduro’s flights, to reroute the flight and land somewhere where the US can arrest Maduro. That’s what he claims. And I totally believe that this is what the US does. They’re obsessed with overthrowing disobedient governments. Whether it’s Venezuela, Iran, Nicaragua, Syria, Russia, whatever, like you name it, this is what we do. So whether this will rise to the level of invading Venezuela, it’s a fair question. And you never know. These people. Now, one difficulty is that Venezuela can fight back. They have a disciplined army, an army that’s pretty loyal, from what I can tell, to Maduro, and that doesn’t want to just bow to Washington. But look, the country has seriously suffered. There’s no denying that. And the stock line here, if you watch a recent report on this in 60 Minutes, CBS News, they talk about Maduro’s mismanagement of the economy and corruption and all that stuff. What all this omits is the US sanctions that have destroyed Venezuela’s economy, destroyed its main industry, the oil industry, made it very, very difficult. And that does have the anticipated effect of weakening a country and making it more ripe for regime change.”
When the 1973 ‘Peace’ Prize went to war criminal Henry Kissinger, the commentator Tom Lehrer said, ‘Political satire is obsolete”. Now it’s gone to a pro-Israel US/CIA stooge who wants to violently overthrow the Venezuelan government for the US to steal the oil.

‘The awarding of the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan far-right leader María Corina Machado took nearly everyone by surprise (with the exception of insiders who apparently used advance knowledge to profit on betting markets).The Nobel Committee justified the award on the basis of Machado’s “tireless work promoting democratic rights” and “her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”
However, Machado’s track record paints a very different picture. Rather than scrutinise the opposition politician’s credentials, the media establishment seized the opportunity to whitewash the most unpeaceful elements in her background in order to advance its cynical pro regime-change agenda targeting Venezuela’s socialist government.
Not coincidentally, Machado’s award coincided with an escalation of US military threats against Venezuela, meaning that corporate pundits used a “peace” prize as a platform for war propaganda.
No establishment outlet mentioned Machado’s first relevant political action: supporting the short-lived April 2002 coup against the Chávez government, and signing the infamous “Carmona Decree.” In one fell swoop, this decree did away with all democratically elected institutions, annulled the 1999 Constitution, and established a de facto dictatorship headed by the leader of Venezuela’s corporate business lobby. Machado later denied signing the decree, though her name appeared on a list published by Venezuelan newspaper El Nacional.
Machado’s second act was also the antithesis of peace and democracy, as the opposition politician led the 2014 “La Salida” (“The Exit”) campaign of street violence to overthrow the Nicolás Maduro administration, leaving dozens dead.
But more damning is the complete erasure of Machado’s outspoken support for Israel, even amidst the recent genocide. Venezuela’s far-right leader has repeatedly praised Israel’s defense of “Western values” and “freedom,” while her party established an alliance with Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud in 2020. In 2018, Machado penned a letter to the Israeli prime minister, asking him to lead a foreign intervention to “dismantle the criminal Venezuelan regime.”
At a time when the US/Israeli genocide in Palestine has sparked outrage around the world, no corporate outlet found it relevant to mention that this year’s “peace” laureate did not utter a single word of condemnation. On the contrary, according to Netanyahu himself, Machado told the prime minister she “appreciates” his “resolute” actions in a recent congratulatory phone call. Unsurprisingly, only Reuters briefly reported on the Nobel laureate’s war criminal ally.’

‘On October 16, an unusual warning went out on Trinidadian airwaves. “Fishermen are being warned to slow down and stay close to shore amid fears of being bombed by the United States military,” the anchor on CNC3 began, “which continues its anti-narcotics operations in the Caribbean Sea.” Two Trinidadian fishermen, Chad Joseph and Richie Samaroo, had been killed in a U.S. Navy airstrike targeting their boat as they left Venezuela for Trinidad, a short 6-mile trip that Joseph had told his family about. President Donald Trump had claimed the boat was a “vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organisation,” without naming the drug cartel it was supposedly affiliated with, and that “intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics” along a known “DTO route.”
The killing of a friendly country’s nationals, in America’s backyard, in a targeted American airstrike, should have been news alone. But it has been only a brick in the wall of a war that is being constructed in the southern Caribbean, one that is being built up in ways both overt and disturbingly covert.
As of the time of this writing, eight American warships, manned by more than 4,500 Marines and sailors, have been placed just outside of Venezuelan waters. The New York Times has identified guided-missile cruisers moving close to Venezuelan shores, as well as Reaper drones stationed nearby in Puerto Rico, alongside a number of stealth fighter jets. On Wednesday, War Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed on X that the military escalated this campaign by conducting a lethal airstrike on a vessel in the Pacific Ocean for the first time, off of Colombia’s waters, just days after Trump accused its president, Gustavo Petro, of being an “illegal drug dealer” after he criticised the American campaign in the Caribbean.
Some of the ships identified by CNN, like the USS San Antonio and the USS Gravely, have gained combat experience fighting the Houthi movement in Yemen, attempting to break their blockade in the Red Sea against Israel-bound cargo ships. Now, such U.S. military resources have been moved to the Caribbean, to deal with the next American enemy.
The target is clear: Nicolás Maduro, president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. But the United States government is not saying that, at least outright.
Venezuela has for years been demonised in the media, becoming a favorite bogeyman of American political thrillers and rousing people’s interest whenever anti-government protests rock the country. But Venezuela threatens no American interests militarily, has no ballistic missile program with which to strike the American heartland, no weapons of mass destruction program, nor even accusations of such a program. There are barely any leakers, zero claims of a global threat, no media laundering of intelligence. The narrative, however, has been set in stone from the beginning — and without strong opposition to it, there was no need to justify it.’

‘Ukrainian manpower has been exhausted. They’re down to recruiting 18 to 23 year olds and this is it. There’s nothing else they could do. They’ve done seven mobilizations, maybe eight. They’ve rebuilt their military five times and it’s just can’t go on in perpetuity. NATO has run out of equipment to give Ukraine. Simply there’s nothing left. They’re talking about now of contracts that will see fruition years from now, not weeks or months from now when Ukraine would need this equipment. So Ukraine has run out of equipment and run out of manpower. At a time when Russia is out producing the collective west 4 to one in terms of defense industrial output, the Russians have done a single mobilization in the fall of 2022. Since that time, they’ve sustained their manpower requirements using standard voluntary based recruitment contracts. Um, and they have more than enough manpower. They’re easy. It’s easy for Russia to replace the losses and grow their military. And so we’re at the point now where all of the advantages that Russia’s been working very hard to acrue are coming to the forefront.’

Alexander Mercouris; “By this point in the war, Ukrainian battalions are short of men and, well, 15,000 men would be what you would expect if the battalions were up to strength, but they’re not up to strength. 5,500 men trapped in Pokrovsk, I think, is probably about right. And we’ve discussed in many programmes how important Pokrovsk is, how it is the big piece on the chessboard that the Russians want to capture now, because if they can capture it they can do two things, firstly, there is no obstacle to advance west towards the city of Dnipro on the river, except for one place, which is another actually very important city, which is called Pavlograd. They can advance up the main road. There are no great barriers to reaching Pavlograd. If the Russians reach Pavlograd, that would be a major crisis. Well, it’s already a major crisis for Ukraine, but it would bring the Russians closer to the river. And we’ve discussed in many, many programmes how disastrous for Ukraine that would be if the Russians reach the Dnieper in central Ukraine. So that’s one thing, but the other thing which I think is more likely what the Russians would want to do once Pokrovsk is captured, is that they will advance north. They will outflank the Ukrainians in Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. The town of Konstantinovka, which is located south of these two places, is already in the process of a battle. The Russians, even the Ukrainians, have now confirmed, are fighting well inside Konstantinovka. Sloviansk and Kramatorsk therefore look like being where the Ukrainian forces in Donbas are going to make their last stand. The fall of Pokrovsk brings that last stand closer. I mean, that is briefly the summary of the situation. And again, we can see that Syrsky (Commander in Chief Ukraine Army) and Zelensky have overstayed their time in Pokrovsk. They’ve kept Ukrainian troops there too long with the result of 5,500 of them, according to the Russians, are now encircled. And this isn’t the only encirclement, as you rightly said. There’s another equally disastrous encirclement that’s taking place in Kupiansk, which is further north, that is to the north of Slovyansk, Kramatorsk. And there is a potential third encirclement now starting to develop in another town called Siversk, which is located somewhat to the east of Kupyansk and Slovyansk. So it is a crisis, this is a military crisis. There have been many battles in Donbas. There have been many sieges of towns. Each town the Russians have had to capture has brought them closer in this chess game, if you like, of capturing fortified towns and places, it’s brought them closer to the point where we are at the final crisis. But we are now almost at the brink of the final crisis if Pokrovsk is captured, or rather, more correctly, when Pokrovsk is captured, because it is now a foregone conclusion that it is going to be, then at that point, as I said, we are looking at the last act in the battle of Donbas, and who wins the battle of Donbas has won the war.”

Nope, it did not go well at all for Mr. Zelensky, the meeting was described as tense, emotional, and at the very end the President of the United States ended the meeting with Zelensky just saying these words, ‘I think we’re done here’. You never want a meeting to end with those words. Look, Zelensky is simply not in a good place right now, he’s losing militarily, there’s no doubt about that, his approval numbers are horrid amongst his own people, and his soldiers are deserting along the front lines. In fact, the picture is so bleak, even a British field marshal says it’s over for Ukraine. Let me show him to you. This is the guy right here, this is the field marshal and Lord, David Richards is his name, he’s one of the highest ranking officers in the British military and he’s just come out and he said that Ukraine cannot win its war with Russia and should negotiate peace terms now. Why? He says, look, they just don’t have enough soldiers and they can’t depend on NATO. NATO will not and should not, he says, fight this war for them. Here he is.”
Let’s hope delusional Starmer and his, belligerent coalition don’t realise their war based on lies like ‘Putin wants to conquer Europe’.

Douglas Macgregor; “I think there’s been a sudden realisation that our resources are not limitless. One of the few coherent moments that I’ve heard from him (Trump) is where he talks specifically about the numbers of weapons and munitions and resources on the military side that we need for our own defence, and that we’ve poured about as much as we possibly can into Ukraine. Now, that may explain the sudden use of the Storm Shadow by the British. Who knows, the British, specifically MI6 and selected elements of the British military establishment have been in Ukraine from the very beginning and are into this war up to their necks. I don’t know what the Russians plan to do in the future, but I would not be surprised to see some serious action taken against the British. The place, the timing, I can’t anticipate that, I just don’t know, but at some point. I think the Russians are annoyed, remember, the Russians know that the British have very, very small armed forces, the British have bankrupted themselves, they’re overspent, they could perhaps ship 20, 30,000 troops to Russia or to Poland, that’s about it. I don’t see any evidence that they’re going to implement national service and try to draught people to go in Ukraine. The situation in France is about the same and France is even more volatile internally than Great Britain is. I don’t think the French want to let the army go for fear that things could come unglued in France. So we’ve got lots of sort of empty threats coming from the Europeans. The Russians know that, and I think as a result, the Russians will continue to exercise restraint, but at the same time, they’re going to move forward in Ukraine, because contrary to what a lot of people think, they’d actually like to see this war end. They don’t really want to govern western Ukraine, that would be a catastrophe for them, they know the population there doesn’t want them and they don’t want that population inside Russia. They’re really only interested in other Russians, people that are speaking Russian, that want to be part of Russia, being under Russian control. But every time I or anybody else who knows anything about Russia says this, we’re silenced. We’re told, no, you’re wrong, he wants to conquer Europe and of course, that would require universal service and national mobilisation. Now, here’s something that people in the west don’t get, the Russians can do that, they can mobilise Russia for total war. They don’t want to, but they can be done. And people think, oh, well, if we push them to mobilise for all out war against us once again, this will fatally weaken the Putin government and he will be overthrown. So it’s just a sort of repetition of stupidity and lies over and over and over again.”
By drumming for war with Russia, Britain has played a shameful, dangerous role in the Ukraine debacle.

Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia; “We don’t want to create some discomfort for the United States, which is under huge, unbelievable pressure from the European hawks, from Zelensky and others, who don’t want to have any American-Russian cooperation on anything. And so there are enough people who are not very polite and who impose themselves upon Washington politicians and use each and every means to undermine the process which could have achieved its goals.
Macron was asked whether this cessation of hostility ceasefire includes the pause in providing weapons to Ukraine. He said, no, it does not. No preconditions at all. So when President Trump, after Anchorage, bluntly publicly stated that in his conviction, it is not a ceasefire but a sustainable, durable peace, which, as he said, must be a long term peace, a very long term, and another quotation we are not talking about a two year peace. And then we end up in this mess again.
Interviewer; “What about Kherson and Zaporizhzhia? Could Russia ever talk about giving them back to Ukraine?”
Sergey Lavrov; “All these lands were founded by the Russian Empire and developed by the Soviet Union only after all of them. Each of these four places, after Crimea held referendum and bluntly expressed their desire to rejoin with Russia. And when we now liberate remaining parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the people, in spite of the attempts of Ukrainian army to pull them into mainland Ukraine, most of them are not leaving, they are staying and they are welcoming the Russian soldiers who liberate them. So this is not our will, our imperialist desire, some people say this is our concern for the future of the people who feel being part of the Russian culture. By the way when Zelensky and his entourage, like Macron, Starmer, Merz and others, they still say Russia must get out of Ukraine, out of 1991 borders. And yesterday, I think they gathered in London for this coalition of the willing, and Starmer, addressing the media before the. event, he said that Russia, Putin is the only one who doesn’t want peace. And this deserves some explanation.
In April 2022, couple of weeks after the special operation started, Ukrainians asked for negotiations. We agreed, we held several rounds in Belarus and. Then moved to Istanbul. In Istanbul, as I said, Ukrainian delegation put a paper with the principles to be developed into a treaty, we accepted this paper, it was initialled, and then Boris Johnson said, don’t do this, continue to fight Russia until we defeat them. So when Starmer said that Putin is the only one who is against negotiations, he should remember about his former prime minister, Boris Johnson. He should remember about those in Germany and in France who signed the deal and then few years later admitted that they never intended to do this, in spite of the fact that it had been endorsed by the Security Council. And then Starmer continued to say that Putin must stop atrocities, must stop killing children, and he must withdraw to the. Borders of 1991 on children. It’s a shame, the amount of lies, the amount of propaganda is astonishing.
We have bluntly a nazist regime (in Ukraine) which as I said, show openly they despise anything Russian and prohibited anything Russian. It’s the only country on earth which prohibits a language. Not to mention that this is an official language of the United Nations. In Palestine, in any Arab country, Hebrew is not prohibited. In Israel, Arabic is not prohibited but Zelensky prohibited the Russian language.”

‘A leaked document, authored in April 2022 by St. Andrews University lecturer and the British cabal’s chief NSC contact Marc DeVore, sets out a bold vision for Washington’s “non-profit associations, civil society and private sector businesses” to tutor Ukrainian sharpshooters. US citizens were reputed to possess “the wherewithal and…motivation to provide such training,” while DeVore judged Donbass’ “slow-moving” battlefield – with its emphasis on “urban combat” – to be “an environment ideal for snipers.”
As this journalist has extensively documented, all Kiev’s gravest military disasters, such as the October 2023 – June 2024 Krynky catastrophe, were planned in London. That effort saw wave after wave of British-trained Ukrainian marines attempt to secure a beachhead in Russian-occupied territory, before marching on Crimea and outright victory in the war. We really don’t want to kill them. They’re more Orthodox Christians and they’re Slavs, so why kill them? That’s going to come to an end at some point, but it’s going to be a slow and ponderous end. The question is, what comes afterwards? And we insist on propping up this facade of a legitimate government. It’s illegitimate, it’s not even a government anymore, it’s a massive kleptocracy. Somebody contacted me the other day and said, what about this $61 billion that we’re about to transfer to Ukraine? I said, well, I wouldn’t be too concerned because most of that will stay here, it’ll just be laundered through the congressional machine, end up in the defence industry, and all the donors who profit from this, along with many constituents who want to stay operating naturally on these assembly lines, will be happy. The bad news for the Ukrainians is that most of this equipment will not arrive for at least a year, by which time I suspect this will all be passé. Again, people don’t understand this. And then, of course, we’re employing the Ukrainian army, we pay for it, we’re paying for the Ukrainian government. And I suspect Mr. Zelensky and his cohorts will buy additional mansions with whatever they can steal from what’s coming in.”

As he boarded the night train to Ukraine, Boris Johnson had the usual entourage of aides and bodyguards – plus the man who had given him £1m. Less than a year had passed since Johnson accepted what is thought to be the largest donation ever to an individual MP. It was from Christopher Harborne, one of the UK’s biggest and most private political donors. Harborne, whose millions helped bankroll Brexit, made the payment to a private company Johnson set up after resigning as prime minister. Now leaked files show that Johnson, a champion of Ukraine in office and since, was accompanied in September 2023 by his benefactor on a two-day visit that included meetings with top officials.

The organisers of the high-level gathering they attended in Kyiv say Harborne was registered as “adviser, Office of Boris Johnson”. Harborne has wide expertise: a self-described “digital nomad”, his holdings range from cryptocurrency and a wellness centre to jet fuel and stakes in at least three military contractors. His only apparent connection to Ukraine is as the biggest shareholder in a British weapons manufacturer whose robots and drones are reportedly supplied to its armed forces. The Boris Files, leaked documents from Johnson’s private office, have exposed how the former PM has sought to enrich himself since leaving office by sitting down with a Venezuelan despot and courting Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi crown prince accused of ordering the murder of a journalist.’
