The Great & The Good: George Ferguson

Bristol’s former mayor and architect turned social entrepreneur, George Ferguson puts people, community, and food, not profit, at the heart of city life.
He transformed a derelict tobacco factory into a social hub by hosting a Sunday market, as well as a shop, cafe bar, brewery, bakery, restaurant and theatre. Seasonal, chemical-free produce is supplied by five acre farm. What’s left from the kitchens gets composted on the farm – a circular system with no waste.
“Politicians tie us to international trade deals that fly food across the world on planes and ships in huge containers. It cannot be truly fresh. It cannot be good for our health or the environment. Farming is being treated as an industry rather than a personal occupation and we are losing our connection to land, to animals and to each other.”

Supermarkets destroy farmers by cancelling orders, routinely paying late and using cheap substandard imports to drive down prices to below the cost of production. A much better system is to re-localise food, fairer for the farmers who get more of the purchase price and for consumers who can choose healthy, high welfare food from farmers they know and trust.

Farmer; “Since Covid, food inflation has gone up by 37%, yet the prices of cereals have come down by 22%. We haven’t seen the benefit of that. And even yesterday, the BBC wrote an article about food inflation and that there’s been poor harvests and so this will impact on quality. I can tell you now, this is pre-rain, proper, clean, dry wheat. And we are not getting paid anything extra for how good it is. Supermarkets just continue to stitch everybody up. And they will as long as we let them.”
The waste from factory pig farms makes people ill with toxic stench and damages local habitats with excess ammonia. In contrast, the waste from pigs that live outdoors is a useful fertiliser.

‘A planning application has been submitted to build a controversial solar farm on more than 2,000 acres (809 hectares) of countryside. Island Green Power wants to build Lime Down Solar Park on land north of the M4 near Malmesbury in Wiltshire, and says it will provide energy to power 115,000 homes a year. The farm, which would span six villages including Hullavington, Stanton St Quintin, Sherston and Luckington, has been criticised by councillors and also campaigners over fears it would create a “permanent scar” on the landscape. Due to the scale of the plans, permission will be decided by Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ed Miliband.
Mr Miliband has already approved other big solar schemes, with the government aiming to achieve 95% clean energy in the UK by 2030. Lime Down Solar Park would be four miles wide (6.4km) and two miles (3.2km) deep, with solar panels that would stand at 14.7ft (4.5m) tall – the height of a double decker bus and a UK-first, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service. A number of battery storage systems would also be built as part of the scheme, one the height of a five-storey building.
A 196ft (60m) wide corridor for a 12.4 mile (20 km) cable to the substation in Melksham would also be built, passing under the M4 and the Bristol-to-London railway line.
Wiltshire councillors, who will not get a chance to vote on the proposals, described the scheme as a “solar factory” and criticised the “industrial” nature of the design. During a meeting in July to discuss the plans, Sherston councillor Martin Smith said Lime Down Solar Park would “create an industrialised landscape to evolve into a permanent scar on the county’s countryside”. The Planning Inspectorate is expected to decide if it can accept the application for examination by 17 October. The application will then go through several stages – which could take more than a year – before construction work begins. The decision can be appealed and grounds for a judicial review can be reviewed at the High Court.’

Paul Tompkins (Chair NFU Dairy Board); “Dairy operates at a vast scale under very different regulations that permit practices that UK farmers refrain from using. So good examples are the use of BST or hormones, in a small part of US dairy production and also antibiotics that are reserved for critical use in human health in the UK.”
Presenter; “You’ve sent a joint letter with Dairy UK, which represents processors, laying out the position that UK farming can give no further concessions without suffering serious impacts to its viability. Why use such strong words?”
Paul Tompkins; ” Well, I think that dairy farmers are pretty cheesed off at the prospect of liberalising our markets to the US. Our farmers have already shouldered much of the burden on behalf of other sectors of the economy in the first round of negotiations with the United States and we simply have nothing more to give. I believe that domestic standards have got to be protected in trade negotiations, and I guess that sentiment is echoed by dairy farmers across the country.”
Presenter; ” Is there any indication that the UK would be a destination for large amounts of US cheese or milk powder even if trade were liberalised at the moment? Imports of US cheese and dairy are relatively small, aren’t they?”
Paul Tompkins; “Currently, we don’t import many dairy products from the United States, but that is because we are protected by existing tariffs. And if you consider this deal in context of what’s happened over the last couple of years, we’ve had a free trade agreement with both New Zealand and Australia, the former being a large dairy exporter and more latterly, the free trade agreement with India, who are the largest dairy producing nation in the world and have ambitions for significant dairy surplus. I think when you build these together, you see that we’re building up a picture of a lot of exposure to extra dairy products coming in from abroad, when our ambition is to have a strong domestic supply base in order that we can maintain food security in this country.”

‘This includes compulsory purchase by public bodies & governments (local & national) to buy land (which includes the green belt, farmland and also allotments) at low agricultural value rather than full hope value. After purchase they can sell land to a housing developer or solar panel company at full development value. The Bill also gives compulsory purchase rights to acquire land for nature. This is not a level playing field for farmers and food growers. They will be forced to sell at low value, but the purchaser (often a local council) will be able to sell at full value. This is horrendously wrong on so many levels.’
Compulsory vaccination of animals poisons people and the food chain.

Urs Hans, Farmer; “That’s actually the way it happens. It means that first they forced vaccination with cattle and now we had vaccination against the children. This I couldn’t stand, either for cattle or for us humans. My name is Urs Hans, I am a farmer in Switzerland in the countryside of Canton Zurich. And step by step we build up the system without any pesticides. And now during the summertime all the cattle are up on the mountain grazing up there, very good food quality. And here we look for food for the winter. Yes, it actually started everything on the Alps. We experienced vaccination against illness on the cattle and there we had big losses. A third of the calves died after vaccination. And then we had long term problems and the government didn’t support us, zero, nothing. Because they knew that there’s a connection between vaccination and they deny it till these days. Then when Corona showed up, I was a member of parliament of Zurich. So of course from the first second I realised, hey, that’s the same programme, the same fear campaign, the same narratives in order people get vaccinated, the whole programme of WHO is corruption. But the worst now is One Health – that’s a big danger for us, for everybody. And with this One Health actually the approach they’re just proposing to vaccinate the food chain. And all the stuff which is in vaccination will end up in milk and meat. They want to destroy the natural production of the farmers, and that’s why I’m so active fighting for our rights. What they are doing, they’re poisoning a fountain of life everywhere. That was one of the worst things. If you poison a fountain, it changes your DNA and they make a big profit. Why is it possible to make profit in producing death? It’s like war. But this the population must realise otherwise at a certain time it will be too late. The WHO are playing piano behind the scenes. They’re all in the secure haven of Switzerland. Somehow we have to throw them out. We need help. Like when Kennedy did a talk in Switzerland, that gives you hope and you see you’re not alone. And the speech itself is just great.”
R F Kennedy Jr; “We understand that there are a lot worse things to fear than death. Atop among those is a lifetime of slavery and servitude to Bill Gates and to the Silicon Valley robber barons and to the big bankers who are trying to take away all of our rights and turn us into slaves. But today the rest of the world is looking to Switzerland. This is the front line and we are counting on the people of Switzerland, the last place where we can have true democracy in Europe, to stand up and say no to these tyrants. Our duty as citizens, as human beings, as members of a democracy, is to resist, resist, resist.”
Urs Hans; “My luck is that I’m working on the farm. I see the animals, I see the crops growing, and then you see the values you have to fight for. And that gives you energy. I think that’s the most important. And being up on the mountain and seeing all western Switzerland, Lake of Geneva, that makes me happy, of course, and that gives me energy again.”
How producing less food without inputs makes more money not less!

‘In this programme we discuss the new book – The Profitable Farm, Balancing business, nature and energy through maximum sustainable output – and I’m joined by the authors Chris Clark and Brian Scanlon.’
ffinlo Costain; “And I suppose in terms of thinking about the future, that sort of idea of kind of standard support, acreage-based support, whatever else it happens to be, has essentially gone now, it’s being phased out very, very rapidly. Instead we’re looking at how that funding comes in different funding streams that are available through different grants or through natural capital. And so in that way you’ve got a farm business which is potentially producing food and natural capital assets and delivering for nature, etc, so do you need to look at these income streams entirely separately, as if they’re different businesses within the single business, or are you able to sort of think about them and aggregate them together?”
Brian Scanlon; “Well, I think you need to separate them. And let me give you one, I believe, fantastic example. There has been not one livestock farm that we have reviewed that have gone down the mob grazing/herbal ley route that have improved their profitability. They’re going on a pre-support basis. They’re going down the mob grazing/herbal ley route because of the payments that are there. So when there is a payment offered to you through SFI or Countryside Stewardship or ELMS generally, ask yourself as a farm business person, ask yourself this question, will this prescription help me improve my profitability?”
ffinlo Costain; “And in terms of that sort of regen element, the mob grazing elements specifically, going back to that idea of land being an energy converter, if you’re managing your cattle in a different way and therefore getting more grass, getting more energy out of that land that then gets transferred into the animal, why isn’t that sort of holding up in terms of profit?”
Brian Scanlon; “The problem we have is this introduction of industrial energy through fertiliser and feed that reduces your profitability hugely. It has a negative effect. This is immediately on the surface, counter-intuitive. I was taught at college, the more yield, the more profit. But because there are two types of energy that does not work. Maximising output through your free-issue solar energy is where farmers should be heading when you use industrial energy-based inputs. We struggle with the economists who don’t understand energy in the way that physicists and mathematicians and we do here. So when you use industrial energy, the energy that has gone into the manufacture of fertiliser, nitrogen fertiliser, for example, can never be recovered in the food that you sell as fuel. Because if that was possible to do that, you’d have a perpetual motion machine and the energy required to supply a ton of fertiliser is so huge, it actually knocks the profitability of the farm. And not only that, it reduces the available natural capital significantly.”.
ffinlo Costain; “So what we’re talking about, Brian, I guess, is understanding those different forms of energy, and to all intents and purposes, as far as possible, trying to eliminate that sort of synthetic form of energy that’s going into the farm there that Chris was just talking about. So that you’re able to benefit from the energy that’s coming from the sun, that you’re able to transfer and change into grass or other products that are coming from the land.”
Brian Scanlon; “It’s exactly that. You see, industrial energy is not only expensive, but the conversions are such that you can’t ever win, and this is where economists are failing. You see, most economic theory is really about price, and even worse, it’s about marginal price or marginal cost. They don’t look at the business in terms of what’s driving it and what’s driving it is energy, and they have no models that are energy-based or can account for the special peculiarities of working with energy. Broadly speaking, if you’re in livestock farming, there’s nothing you can do better than to grow as much good grass as possible, and it’s as simple as that. And don’t put any artificial inputs into the equation and that’s your primary position.”
In the UK around 40 percent of breeding sows live outdoors, (compared with 2 percent in Germany and 3 percent in the US). The waste from outdoor pigs is a valuable fertiliser, but after weaning, most of their piglets are then housed in factory farms where the excessive amounts of waste gets spread in the neighbourhood which is hugely problematic; not least the toxic stench that threatens peoples health and excess nitrogen that finds its way into watercourses, killing fish and other aquatic wildlife. There is enough land and woods in the UK for all pigs in sustainable numbers, to be kept outdoors for their whole lifetime, which means they are healthy and well-exercised, do not need routine antibiotics, and produce better tasting meat due to their physical activity and diverse diet from eating herbs and grasses, and from rooting and grubbing in the soil. The obsession with having cheap meat cannot be by producing factory farmed animals where the true costs are externalised, nor can it be fake meat! Bill Gates is looking forward to producing the next generation of junk food that hasn’t ever touched the soil.

‘The report reaches the following conclusions:
The scale of pig and poultry production as a sector across the UK is huge, with significant volumes of nutrient outputs generated. The UK produces almost 1 million tonnes of pigmeat and 2 million tonnes of poultry meat per year, breeding, growing and slaughtering in the region of 11 million pigs and 1.1 billion broilers. In addition, the UK has an egg laying flock of approximately 40 million chickens, producing approximately 12 billion eggs per year.
Intensive pig and poultry production is highly concentrated, with the majority of England’s pig population housed in just 5 council areas. The UK has significant populations of pigs and poultry, predominantly in England, followed by Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Within each country, there are regional concentrations of pigs and poultry, notably in Yorkshire, East Anglia, Armagh, Mid Ulster, Grampian and, in respect of poultry, the Welsh borders and South West England.
The hidden land-take of pig and poultry production within the UK is significant The areas of land required to produce pig and poultry feed extend well beyond the pig and poultry unit ‘footprints’. It is estimated that UK pig and poultry feed require approximately 520,000-580,000 hectares of wheat , equivalent to 34-38% of the UK’s total wheat crop, with associated fertiliser and pesticide inputs. UK pig and poultry feed also includes soyabean meal, requiring land use outside the UK of an estimated 730,000 hectares.
The pig & poultry sector outputs over 10 million m3 of excreta every year, highly concentrated within the areas farmed. The amount of excreta resulting from pig and poultry production in the UK is in the region of 10.4 million cubic metres per year. This results in total outputs of approximately 97 million kg/yr nitrogen and 64 million kg/yr phosphate. In one single council area, North Yorkshire CC, the combined volume of excreta from pig & poultry production each year is 1.7 million m3.’
Lets encourage more farms to raise pigs outdoors instead of in cruel, polluting factory farms, by only buying pork labelled Outdoor Reared, Free Range or best of all Organic.

‘Waitrose has announced plans to source all its own-label British pork from free range farms by 2027, in what it says is a global supermarket first. From 15 October 2025, pork mince, steaks, chops and joints on the retailer’s shelves and online will be free range.It says the pledge will expand over the following two years to cover all own-brand pork, including sausages, bacon, ready meals and sandwiches.
The company claims the move will guarantee quality and taste for shoppers while supporting British farmers and raising animal welfare standards. Products will also carry a tiered welfare label, similar to that used on Waitrose chicken, to help customers make more informed choices.
Charlotte Di Cello, chief commercial officer at Waitrose, said the retailer “believes that happy pigs make the best pork.” The commitment has been welcomed by animal welfare group Compassion in World Farming. Louise Valducci, the organisation’s head of food business for Europe, said: “We’re delighted that Waitrose is setting a new benchmark for pig welfare with this commitment to free range production across its UK-sourced pork.”

“The biggest lie in the world right now is that cows are killing the planet. At the core of that lie is how methane is calculated, and in the next few minutes, I’m going to take you through the full carbon cycle for my dairy cows from the air and back to the air. All the carbon that enters my dairy cows starts in the air. And I have organised this fog as a nice visual representation of that carbon. Let’s take 10 carbon atoms from the air and follow their journey through one of my dairy cows. Grass uses photosynthesis to pull carbon out of the air and store it as energy in the form of carbohydrates and proteins. So when my cows come in here in a few weeks, they graze this field, they will eat the grass and they will take up the carbon. Sorry if I’m explaining this like you’re stupid, but none of the public question any of this stuff. One of the 10 carbon atoms will leave as meat and milk, which is then consumed as food by us humans. And we emit the carbon as respiration. Another two of the carbon atoms are emitted as respiration by the cow, also not counted as an emission. The remaining seven carbon atoms are digested in the rumen of the cow by bacteria. The bacteria inside the cow’s rumen takes the remaining seven carbon atoms and converts them to methane through the bacteria’s version of respiration. So, respiration from the human, not counted as an emission. Respiration from the cow, not counted as an emission. Respiration from the rumen, counted as an emission. But here’s the thing, no matter how the carbon leaves the cow, it has all started in the same place, which is the air. This next bit is where climate scientists like to gaslight us farmers and say that methane is not the same as CO2. So let’s continue to track our seven carbon atoms which have left our cow as methane. They have entered the atmosphere again, and them seven methane atoms have 96 times the global warming potential of seven carbon atoms. However, over the next 12 years, them seven methane molecules that entered the atmosphere will break down into CO2 and water, completing our cycle. What this means is if you have a stable number of animals like this farm has for the last 12 years, as you emit the seven methane molecules, seven more that you emitted a decade earlier have just broken down back to carbon to be reabsorbed by the grass. So the net effect of the methane molecules emitted by my cows on global warming is zero. Factually zero. And yet, in all the carbon calculations, the methane molecules are accounting for over 70% of my farm’s emissions.”
Monsanto’s lies, blackmail, junk science, bullying, threatening and lobbying has resulted in huge sales of their glyphosate-based herbicide Roundup in spite of proven health risks. As of January 2024 there are 165,000 lawsuits for damages for people whose cancers have been proven to have been caused by glyphosate. Now Bayer, which bought Monsanto in 2018, has embarked on a legal strategy to exempt themselves from further lawsuits. Is Monsanto behind promoting regenerative farming that allows glyphosate? How about calling it either chemical regenerative or organic regenerative farming?

Agrochemical giant Bayer was promoting glyphosate, the active ingredient in its pesticide, Roundup. “And someone called ‘the Modern Ag Alliance’ took out full-page ads in newspapers around the state,” said Jennifer Breon, Food & Water Watch Iowa organiser.
We quickly realised — these were the opening salvos in Bayer’s million-dollar battle for immunity against lawsuits linking Roundup to cancer.
Iowa is drowning in pesticides and ranks second in the nation for cancer rates. In an average year, Roundup blankets over half the state. And in recent decades, cancer patients have received billions of dollars in settlement money from Bayer.
In response, Bayer shaped and lobbied for a state bill that we named the “Cancer Gag Act.” If passed, it would have denied sick Iowans the right to their day in court.
“We immediately reached out to our allies and like-minded environmental organisations who could bring their expertise and more ordinary Iowans to this fight,” said Jennifer. With just a few months of relentless, powerful advocacy, we successfully pressured state lawmakers to drop the Cancer Gag Act.
At our August Livable Future Live, we sat down with Jennifer, Food & Water Watch researcher Kat Ruane, and Nick Schutt, an impacted Iowan who joined our campaign. Together, they laid out the impact of pesticides on the state, Bayer’s battle to evade accountability, our successful win to stop the Cancer Gag Act in Iowa, and how the pesticide industry is taking its fight to the federal level.’

‘Rather than wasting energy and time making things ourselves, we can hop to a supermarket and buy them (everything) off a shelf for next to nothing. Then when they break, or we use them up, we can discard such things and replace them with new ones. Where they come from, how they were made, or who made them, is almost entirely irrelevant. What is important is that we can acquire them easily and cheaply so we can focus our energy on our own important, productive and efficient work.
But a number of problems arise with hyper-production of stuff because super-efficient industrial processes can easily turn out more products than the market can absorb, creating a growing surplus which, in turn, creates price pressures and the problem of deflation. In our economic system, deflation leads to economic depression, so surplus production must find and open new markets for the surplus products of our industries.
Since the industrial revolution, this frequently involved gunboat diplomacy: promoting the system of “free trade” with compelling, military means of persuasion. Gunboats were needed because the newly “opened” markets invariably experienced economic collapse as local crafts and industries found themselves unable to compete with Western industries.
True, the relationship has inverted today and since the 1980s, China assumed the role of world’s leading producer of large quantities of cheap everything and anything. But today, China seems to be sending a different message, which is a beautiful alternative to gunboat diplomacy.
The beautiful alternative
What if, instead of industrial hyperproduction we made craftsmanship great again? We’d produce less stuff, but the stuff would be more valuable, more beautiful and more durable. Instead of discarding and replacing things, we’d repair and maintain them. This approach would reduce the demand for resource extraction, waste and environmental devastation. It would also absorb a great deal of productivity and surplus labour, which has been a serious problem of the Western societies since the industrial revolution.
It would also solve the problem of nanny state and failing pension funds. Artisanal production requires hard work, patience and skill. Acquiring specialised skills invariably takes many years, some are refined and perfected over lifetimes. Products or services delivered by artisans with a lifetime of experience are invariably better than those of novices in ways that can’t be copied. In the markets, they command a premium. Thus, an older artisan could charge higher prices for his products. Furthermore, an artisan’s skills themselves have a market value as many novices will seek instruction from their more experienced colleagues.
In this sense, people nearing retirement don’t become “useless eaters,” or “net consumers of capital,” as European Central Bank’s chief, Christine Lagarde called them. Through their labour and experience, craftsmen become owners of “golden hands”: the most valuable, most honored capital in any society. Rather than becoming a burden and a liability, they become our most highly valued asset, capable of training up future golden hands.’

“We cannot call a system robust when it permits poisons already banned abroad. True Pro-Life Agriculture protects children before profits,” said Kucinich.’

About four years ago, in 2021, I got access to a phenomenal leak of documents out of the Labour Party that sparked my investigation into Morgan McSweeney and the Labour Party. An incredible story of the reckless and arguably lawless project that has delivered us this particular Keir Starmer government. Between 2017 and 2020, Morgan McSweeney ran an undisclosed secret project to destroy the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn. He did so with a pot of money, £730,000 he wasn’t declaring, as required by law, to the Electoral Commission while he was running the secret project. He wrote to the Electoral Commission and spoke to them over the phone and said, I don’t want to report donations and the Electoral Commission said, I’m sorry, you have to report donations. And in February 2020, Shabana Mahmood, who’s currently the Home Secretary, said on Labour Together’s behalf, yes, we are reporting donations. Labour Together was a seemingly anodyne think tank that Morgan McSweeney ran for a number of years. Labour Together really came into play after Corbyn’s Labour Party exceeded all expectations in the general election of 2017. But for people like Morgan McSweeney, this wasn’t something to be celebrated, this was a threat. See, Morgan McSweeney is from the right wing of the Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn’s success was a threat to his own personal political ambitions and to his vision for the Labour Party. For a period of three years, Morgan McSweeney used Labour Together to undertake secret projects to destroy the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn, secret projects that inflamed the antisemitism crisis that would undermine his reputation, but also to ensure that Keir Starmer was elected leader of the Labour Party. To do that, Morgan McSweeney needed serious money. And between 2017 and late 2020, Labour Together accepted over £800,000 in donations. Of that amount, £730,000 was not reported as required by Law to the Electoral Commission, and as a result, nobody had any idea that Labour Together under Morgan McSweeney’s control, was taking £730,000 from a series of multimillionaires. Two of those people who gave the money were Trevor Chin and Martin Taylor. So Trevor Chin is a wealthy UK businessman. One of his animating concerns is Israel. For the last 30 years he’s been actively involved in pro-Israel politics. He’s been connected and linked to Labour Friends of Israel. In fact, early in 2025, Trevor Chin was awarded the Israeli Presidential Medal of Honour for services to the country of Israel. The other donor was a man by the name of Martin Taylor, a very secretive, wealthy hedge fund owner who has interests in private healthcare. One of the weird things about Morgan McSweeney is that he’s never been interviewed properly. You’ll never find a quote from him in the media. He’s never been on TV to explain his beliefs or his philosophy or what he’s done in the past. In all my years of researching Morgan McSweeney, I’ve only ever found one video of him. Here’s Morgan McSweeney speaking to an assembled crowd of the Labour great and good, telling them about how Labour Together was trying to seek unity in the party.”
Morgan McSweeney; “It’s a network of people from across the party, from different traditions that look to what are long term challenges facing the Labour Party and the country and how we overcome them.”
Paul Holden; “Nothing could be further from the truth because at that time, Morgan McSweeney’s plan to burn down the Labour Party, to undermine it from within, to capture the Labour Party from the ashes, to install their own chosen leader and then eradicate the left wing from the Labour Party was well advanced. What we can now reveal is that Morgan McSweeney was and is very close to Peter Mandelson, the best pal of the notorious sex pest and paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. In fact, one of McSweeney’s first jobs at Labour was inputting data into Peter Mandelson’s much feared Excalibur computer system. Peter Mandelson has said of Morgan McSweeney, ‘I don’t know who and how and when he was invented, but whoever it was, they will find their place in heaven’. In many ways, they share the same political methodology. They’re very comfortable meeting behind closed doors, making important decisions about your life, important decisions they make outside of transparency, like, for example, forgetting to report £730,000 of donations to the Electoral Commission. So what was almost three quarters of a million pounds unlawfully not declared to the Electoral Commission, used for? One of the most consequent use of the money was to get Keir Starmer elected leader on the Labour Party.”

David Miller; “We’re talking essentially about events of the last couple of months, but not only does one need to look back to that period you’re talking about when Corbyn was the leader of the Labour Party, but one also needs to explain quite a lot of different things. You can tell the story in relation to the dispute between what you can characterise as the Corbyn faction and the Sultana faction in Your Party. But that narrative, which I feel I’d kind of got on top of a couple of weeks ago, has now been completely queered by the emergence of something called Our Party, which has put the cat amongst the pigeons and is itself a very complex set of relations. So I probably need to talk about that a little bit, but let’s go back to explaining the Corbyn faction and the Sultana faction. So, essentially, thinking back to when Corbyn was leader of the party, we will remember that there was the antisemitism scam where thousands of party members were accused of being antisemitic for criticising Israel. And crucial to remember is the fact that the scam, or at least the witch hunt against those members, only really took off once Jeremy Corbyn’s people had a grip on the bureaucracy of the Labour Party. That is, once Jennie Formby was appointed as General Secretary and once Corbyn was able to appoint people to all the relevant committees. In the period before Jennie Formby became General Secretary, one person was expelled in the previous year and in the period afterwards it was 45, and then a year afterwards it was 45, and then after that, many more. And of course, all of the most famous cases were cases where of people who were expelled on Corbyn’s watch when Jennie Formby was in charge. Of course, we’re thinking of Chris Williamson, Jackie Walker and the many other cases of people who are not as famous. I should mention Mark Wadsworth as well, someone who did literally the least of anybody and was expelled on Corbyn’s watch. And these people, let’s remember, have to this day, not been rung up by Jeremy or had any announcement in the press that Jeremy was sorry or that he felt he shouldn’t have done it or that this won’t happen again. None of that has happened. And that’s why there is a question mark.
So we said all these things at the time, we said, look, the people who were in charge of the antisemitism committee inside the Labour Party when he was in charge, appointed by Jennie Formby and by Corbyn, these were people who were witch hunters and these were people who were, were informed by zionist ideas and engaged in the witch hunt, and these three people were Harry Hayball, who’d been in Momentum and been actually reporting people for antisemitism before he became part of the antisemitism hit squad, a guy called Patrick Smith, who had been in the well known zionist/Trotskyist faction, the Alliance for Workers Liberty and of course Laura Murray, famously the daughter of Andrew Murray. And they worked closely also with the press person in the Labour Party called Georgie Robertson, who of course is the daughter of the famous lawyer Geoffrey Robertson. Now the four of them were core to expelling large numbers of people from the party for no reason at all, for criticising Israel. And there’s never been an accounting for that process. There’s never been Jeremy Corbyn or anyone close to Corbyn saying, we got that wrong last time, we shouldn’t have expelled so many people. We actually undermined ourselves, we shot ourselves in the foot. We apologised too much for things which we hadn’t done wrong, which weren’t wrong. And of course that apologise-and-move-on strategy was overseen and pushed by one of Corbyn’s other advisors, his strategic communication advisor, James Schneider. So it’s those people who are responsible. Now some people have said, oh well, Jeremy just went along with it, he didn’t know, he didn’t understand, Schneider wrote his stuff, he didn’t necessarily approve of it. And that argument has been one which I think some of us were more sympathetic to perhaps two or three years ago. But now that doesn’t really appear to stand up. And we’ve seen what’s happened in relation to Corbyn’s ability to deal with the question of anti-zionism. And he very publicly made his response after Zarah Sultana said at Beautiful Days, the festival in Devon, an event where she did a talk and I was present, she said, for the first time, I’m a proud anti-zionist. And of course people liked that because it was the first time someone had been so openly anti-zionist. And then this activist in London saw Jeremy at a meeting, ‘are you an anti-zionist?’ And he froze and he didn’t know what to say, he wouldn’t answer. And his press advisor Odwita Rose, sort of pushed her away, asked her to stop recording and all of that. And so that made it pretty clear that he was not willing to say that he was not a zionist. Now, of course I believe he is a zionist. He still believes in the two state solution, which effectively makes him a zionist who believes in the right of a Jewish state to exist in the land. That’s zonism, a Jewish state is the zionist project, even if it’s a smaller one, which they want to make bigger. So that’s been a problematic thing for the Corbyn faction and the dispute there’s been between them, yes, it was over that question of politics, but also over the fact that the Corbyn faction wouldn’t, or at least Corbyn wouldn’t take decisions.
There’s a lot of people who are very defensive of Jeremy’s reputation, but especially when we said things a few months ago now that I and others were denounced for. Yes, Schneider grows up as a zionist, he says that he becomes an anti-zionist, or a non-zionist, a believe is the term he used a couple of years ago. Now he goes to a private school, his dad dies when he’s quite young, when he’s a teenager, his dad’s involved in a fraud of several million pounds worth of money going missing just before he dies. And Schneider comes to University to Oxford, and amongst the people he meets early on and becomes friends with, shares a flat with, remains friends with, is a guy called Ben Judah, who of course, until very recently was the Special Advisor to David Lammy, the Foreign Secretary, and had previously been at the Atlantic Council, which of course is an Atlanticist warmongering think tank and of course had been named in 2018 in the Integrity Initiative leaks, as one of the network cluster members of the Integrity Initiative, which of course was a project funded by the Foreign Office, for which one should read MI6, which was run by the Institute of Statecraft and nominally independent think tank, but which was in actual fact overseen by an honorary colonel in the specialist group, Military Intelligence, which an organisation which nobody really knew existed until these leaks came around. That guy’s called Chris Donoway. People might have heard from various of your reports. And of course this was a project overseen by MI6. And in the way of these things, given they’d given this money to military intelligence, MI6 aren’t really very keen on trusting military intelligence to get things right. So they put in a serving MI6 officer into the project as the Chief Operating Officer. They cleared the title there, a guy called Guy Spindler. And of course it was overseen by the career MI6 officer, Andy Pryce, who later became slightly more famous when it was revealed that he was the handler for Paul Mason, when it was revealed that Paul Mason was an MI6 agent. So this is an MI6 project which was supposed to be there to tackle Russian disinformation, but which ended up spending much of its time criticising Jeremy Corbyn. So there was James Schneider’s university friend implicated in the project, subverting James Schneider’s boss.”

Tom’s report does not say that they’re three years away from a nuclear bomb. So it’s a lie upon a lie. A great big budget thing that’s going to be pushed out in November. Iranian nuclear scientist then says if it works, they won’t hesitate to sell the technology, and even if one of these things gets into the wrong hands, they’ll sell it anyway. So that’s the reality of where we’re at. Not merely a war of intelligence agencies, but a war of corrupt media, corrupt culture. Michael Hudson; “The United States is imposing unparalleled insecurity on Europe because you have both Germany and France and Britain offering to provide long range missiles to Ukraine in order to use against Russia and to launch against Russia, especially Moscow and St. Petersburg, that are in range of these missiles that are to be sent. And the European leaders say, like Starmer yesterday, they want to bomb Russia. Well, both President Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov have said if a foreign missile is launched by Ukraine against Russia, we realise that our fight is not against Ukraine, our fight is against NATO. This is the war between NATO and Russia. And if a bomb comes from a German manufactory, then we’re going to bomb the source, we’re going to bomb Germany, at least the factory in Germany, maybe the power plants that supply energy to this factory. Same thing in France, same thing in Britain. Now the question is, once you have intercontinental missiles flying from Russia, Russia doesn’t need atomic weapons. It has a much broader range of weapons than NATO countries have, and these weapons are not atomic, and the NATO countries themselves are pretty much out of weaponry. They’ve given them all to Ukraine and to Israel. And any thought of actually engaging in war is such a fantasy that it would be like Bambi meets Goliath. Russia would respond very quickly and the result is, because of the belligerence of von der Leyen and the Estonian assistant Kellis, this is putting Europe in insecurity and in great military danger. There is no danger at all from an armed military infantry invasion. And without a military invasion, you can’t control and gain control over another country. That’s what Russia is doing now in Ukraine and you see the enormous problems that it has, even in Ukraine. What countries can do, and the democratic form of war is by missiles simply to destroy the other countries. The modern post World War II modern type of war is mutual destruction by missile, by air, whether it’s from submarines or land-based missiles. That’s the kind of war and hence insecurity that Europe is going to have. Europe’s plan to sort of have a bastardised Keynesianism and military Keynesianism of well, let’s spend our money on military industry and that will maybe create the employment that we’ve lost in our civilian industry as a result of having to depend on American gas and oil instead of Russian gas and oil. But it threatens the actual existence of the European countries. Russia’s made it clear that it has no interest in taking over Europe. It wants to be simply left alone. And Europe is obeying the United States not simply in these tariff demands and the givebacks that Trump is making, but in a much deeper connection of following the US Cold War, now increasingly hot war leadership. That’s what’s essentially bankrupting Europe, it’s joined a new military axis that is in no way militarily capable of taking on Russia and I think your military guests on your show have made this very clear over the last few months. And the question is, why is it that Europe’s political leaders able to make this choice on behalf of their whole nations in the face of the public’s voters saying we want Europe to stand up for itself, to be more nationalistic? And if the social democratic and Christian parties are the pro-war military parties that are accepting our dependence on the United States and are giving up our hopes for growth by trade with Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, North Asia, East Asia, then we’re going to support a nationalistic opposition when there are elections. But unfortunately there are no full national elections coming up either for Germany or for France shortly, or for England, and so you see the problem that Europe is stuck with a US-client leadership, not its own leadership. And this US-centred leadership is backed by a US-centred neoliberal mass media, the press, the television, the whole content, the whole narrative of economic development is twisted in Europe, they actually think that Ukraine has a chance to win according to Starmer and Mertz and Macron, and there’s no chance of it winning. They think that the war is somehow leading to a Russian collapse. But Russia’s self-sufficient, there’s no way that Russia can collapse from foreign sanctions any more than China or its allies can collapse from American sanctions, because they’re self sufficient. Europe had this self-sufficiency before, it’s given it all up in exchange for dependency, not realising that the cost of dependency when you have an American leader such as Donald Trump acting on behalf of American large businesses and monopolies, and most of all the military-industrial complex, is going to make demands that bankrupt Europe, and reverse its GDP growth, reverse its living standards and impose austerity on it.”

She was arrested, prosecuted, found guilty, given 500 hours of community service and a fine, tagged, and for a year she was under a 8am to 8pm curfew. In Britain in 2018.”

Sasha Latypova; “People that I previously respected published an article saying, oh my gosh, the ACIP advisory committee on vaccination practices was deceived by CDC. Look, they pulled the wool over their eyes, CDC lied to them, can you imagine? It’s so shocking, who could predict that? How much of an idiot do you have to be to fall for this? And these people call themselves experts, epidemiological experts who understand the data, who can read the data, yet CDC pushes total garbage in front of them, which millions of people, lay people, have no problem picking apart and understanding what’s what. Somehow big experts can’t, they were deceived. They voted to approve monoclonal antibody for all newborns in the United States. All healthy newborns need to be injected on the first day of birth with yet another poison. This is hugely poisonous. Monoclonal antibody, it’s a disaster, they all voted yes, this product killed more babies in clinical trial than whatever was used for control. That was clear as day. It was clear as day to all of us, yet this big group of experts from MAHA, appointed by RFK Jr. get in the room, they get put in front of them this complete piece of garbage and they all vote yes. And everybody then hates me for pointing this out and calls me a pharma shill, calls me controlled opposition, calls me a spy, calls me whatever, because I just said like, what are we supposed to do here? How can they call themselves experts?
I worked as a contractor in the pharmaceutical industry, so I ran several companies performing clinical trials for the pharma companies as clients and we worked with FDA as part of this, because you submit data to the FDA so I understand the regulations, how they’re supposed to be done, what happens in practice in regulatory environments and obviously how to read the data from clinical trials. And also anybody professional in the industry is under no illusion that you can’t expect the manufacturer to be honest. That’s why we have regulators, because manufacturers are biassed by definition, if they put the product on the market, they make profit from it, and that’s why we have regulators, to keep that in check. And now we’re being told that the manufacturer produced data that was copy pasted by CDC and pushed in front of the experts. Somehow it’s insurmountable.
And so the sixth expert was Professor Francis Boyle. He’s academic and he was expert on bio-weapons law because he helped draught several international bio-weapons prohibition conventions. He agreed to testify in this case specifically on the question that these measures and Covid shots were bio-weapons. And three weeks after he agreed to that, he was suddenly dead. And we don’t know why, we still don’t know, nobody knows his cause of death but he died three weeks after he agreed to testify in this case and on behalf of the of plaintiffs. And he was perfectly healthy as far as we knew, he was in his 70s and he was teaching full time, so then the lawyers submitted this request to the judge saying we have these three plaintiffs who would like a speedy decision on this. Here the experts that were willing to testify mentioned that Francis Boyle suddenly died. And this is very concerning and the hearing was last week and the judge refused to hear us as experts, which is very, very unusual. Again, as I said, this is a procedure that technically you just get in front of the judge and they advise you how to file your case. In this case they didn’t want anything to do with this, they refused.
I was the first person who discovered the batch variability so that these MRNA shots had humongous I mean unbelievably humongous variability in terms of toxicity batch to batch because some batches had very few adverse events and deaths and some had thousands and that should never ever ever happen for any pharmaceutical product or mass produced product of any kind.
You should never see this type of variability yet this was the magnitude of variability that we saw with these shots. And so I was the first one to publish on it. I was the first one to promote it and we built a website and it became very popular. It’s a well known fact now, but the FDA has not addressed it, ever, they never acknowledged it, nothing has been done about it under any administration.
I think I realised that this was a military operation when I was talking to Brooke Jackson and she’s a whistleblower, she was prosecuting a case against Pfizer and she’s also from the pharma industry and at some point she sent me these files that were produced by the CDC or FDA or somebody as part of the legal proceedings and they included a PowerPoint presented at the Vaccine Advisory Committee of the FDA sometime in late 2020. When I read this PowerPoint it became obvious to me from one slide. They put an organisational chart of Operation Warp Speed and this organisational chart was funny, it was turned on the side. Usually it’s like CEO and then you have this pyramid. They turned the pyramid on the side to make it less obvious. But on the side the chief operating officer of this whole thing was the Department of Defence. So there’s this logo of the Department of Defence and then next to it it says HHS which is Health and Human Services Department is advisor, while to the public it was always presented as this is a public health event and it’s all about virus and illness and vaccines and you’re a bad person if you’re endangering your grandma without wearing the mask and all that, but that org chart said completely the opposite thing. It said that this is a military-controlled exercise where HHS is along for the ride and providing advice but it’s being managed by the Department of Defence, and furthermore there was a whole executive layer to this org chart that consisted entirely of the US government, mainly executive branch departments of the government, including various State and security and things like that. So when I looked at it, I was like, wow, this is just really strange, I’ve never seen anything like this, clearly the military is in control. And then I started digging into that, and Debbie Luhrmann was the person I found through this, she’s also writing on Substack, she was writing on a Brownstone Institute publication at that time, and she wrote one article where she found documentation again from the United States government, this document was very obscure, it was linked to a New York Times article, that’s where she found it, and it’s called Pandemic Action Plan. So US government at some point put together action plan for what happens if we have a pandemic, and that action plan was originally written as a public health document with more or less normal public health things, and it said something like, well, you don’t do lockdowns and masking is not helpful, you just advise public not to panic, wash their hands and stay home if sick. So normal things like that, they don’t close the schools and so it was normal, more or less normal public health document. At some time during maybe shortly before 2020, and literally months before 2020, the document was changed somehow, nobody still knows how. She is, by the way, still trying to FOIA how that happened, but this has been, like years, and she’s having a really hard time. And that document was changed and now it’s called Pandemic Action Plan Adapted. Who adapted it and what process, we don’t know. But the adapted plan opposite. So all of the public health things went away, and now she found another org chart in it, which is another very, very confusing one, but if you kind of go through it, you understand, and we’ve done several videos on this as well, walking people through this. So in that org chart, it said specifically that National Security Council was in charge of pandemic response. And that’s even worse than Department of Defence being in charge. So clearly it says that National Security Council is the CEO, because they remember in the org chart that I saw where I started this investigation, the chief operating officer was the Department of Defence, but above Department of Defence, we have National Security Council. National Security Council is advisory body to the US President, and it consists of heads of military and intelligence services, agencies, and vice-president and the president, nobody else. It doesn’t have any health representatives on it, so they’re not allowed in. You have to have a very high security clearance to be on it. So that was the body, and that body usually advises the President on matters of war and foreign policy, not on health. Somehow, in this adapted pandemic action plan, we have them in charge of the Covid pandemic response. And so what happened is then ultimately our investigation….at some point, somebody sent me whistleblower tape from inside AstraZeneca meeting, executive meeting at the end of 2020. And in this tape it was recorded from a zoom call. I have a video of the zoom, but I separated the video from the audio and I only released the audio because I didn’t want to inadvertently do something to reveal who recorded it, because obviously it was a internal meeting at the company. And so I released the audio and published it on my Substack. In this recording, six minutes from the zoom meeting, there are two speakers, the CEO of AstraZeneca, Pascal Soros and VP of monoclonal antibodies, Mark Esser. And they’re high fiving each other, celebrating the approval of their monoclonal antibody which was approved in the US. Their vaccine was never approved in the US. It was approved in UK and other places, but in the US they only got the monoclonal approved. During this discussion, they’re kind of revisiting the history of what happened and at some point, Mark Essler says we were approached by DARPA, which is part of Department of Defence, it’s Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency. And specifically Colonel Matt Hepburn of DARPA approached them in 2017 and said that we’re starting a consortium between pharmaceutical companies and the Department of Defence to work on pandemic products. And Department of Defence will identify viruses of pandemic potential and you, the pharma, will be making vaccines and therapeutics for it within 60 days. To which Mark Esser said, I thought it was science fiction at first, and that’s a correct reaction because it is science fiction, because there is no science today, never was, that can, from a computer model of a virus, tell you how pandemic potential it is. None, its not possible to do.”

‘Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov launched a blistering attack at the UN General Assembly, accusing Israel of trying to “blow up” the entire Middle East through its strikes in Iran, Qatar, and beyond. He slammed Western powers for reimposing UN sanctions on Tehran, calling it “blackmail and pressure,” and accused NATO of spreading “World War Three” rhetoric. Lavrov charged that the West manipulates the UN and global institutions for its own gain, while dismissing Ukraine’s “peace formula” as a failed ultimatum. His fiery speech laid bare Moscow’s growing confrontation with Israel and the West.’
Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia; “Attempts at a palace coup in the Secretariat, its privatisation by a small group of countries must not be allowed. The composition of the Secretariat should reflect the new realities and ensure the fair representation of the countries of the global majority. We look forward to a constructive discussion of the Organisation’s development at a special meeting of the Security Council which Russia as President plans to organise on United Nations Day on 24 October. UN reform is only a part of the complex task of transforming the entire system of global governance, including the genuine democratisation of the IMF, the World Bank and the WTO, commensurate with the weight and role of the global south and east in the world economy, trade and finance. Discussions of global reforms cannot ignore the fact that the international security situation today is deteriorating. I have already spoken about the reasons for this and I’ll repeat that the main one is the desire to maintain hegemony through military force. More and more countries and regions are becoming involved in confrontational schemes. NATO is finding itself cramped in Europe and is penetrating into the Pacific Ocean, the South China Sea and the Taiwan Strait, undermining the universal mechanisms of ASEAN and creating threats not only for China and Russia, but also for other countries that are located in the region. This new stage of expansion is justified by NATO leadership with the slogan of the indivisibility of Euro-Atlantic and Indo-Pacific security and they are trying to use this slogan to surround the whole of Eurasia with a military ring. Russia and its like- minded partners are offering a constructive alternative to this dangerous course to build in Eurasia an architecture of equal and indivisible security, not just for NATO members and their allies, but for all countries and associations on the continent without exception, including the SCO, the CIS, ASEAN, the EAEU, CSTO, the Gulf Cooperation Council and others. To this end, Belarus and Russia as partners in the Union State are proposing the development of a Eurasian Charter of diversity and multipolarity in the 21st century. A truly continent-wide process is unavoidable after the West’s behaviour has rendered the Euro-Atlantic security model based on NATO, the EU and the OSCE meaningless. We see no prospects for restoring this model in Europe in its former form, as some European capitalists have suddenly started to contemplate. When talking about the future, we must not forget the lessons of the past, especially in a situation where Nazism is rearing its head again in Europe and militarisation is gaining momentum under the same anti-Russian slogans. This is all the more alarming given that a number of politicians in power in Brussels and in some capitals of EU and NATO countries are seriously beginning to talk about a third World War as a likely scenario. These figures are undermining any efforts to find a fair balance of interests among all of the members of the international community by trying to impose their unilateral approaches on everyone else in gross violation of the key charter requirement which I have repeatedly mentioned already, that is the respect for the sovereign equality of states. It is this equality which is the foundation for the objectively emerging multipolarity. Russia is not agitating for revolution against anyone. Our country has suffered more than others from revolutions. We are simply calling on member states and the secretariat’s leadership to strictly adhere to all of the principles of the UN Charter without exception, without double standards. Only then will the legacy of the founding fathers of the UN not be squandered in vain.”

Douglas Macgregor; “NATO is very unlikely to survive the current crisis in Ukraine. I don’t know whether or not the European Union will survive, but certainly NATO’s future is very questionable and I’ll explain why. First of all, it’s not a question of what we want, what do the Europeans want? European peoples were happy to be allied with us because there was a real existential threat to them in the aftermath of World War II. Remember that? We only did half a job, we advanced to the middle of Germany and stopped. Half of Europe fell into the hands of the Soviet Union and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. They then built this enormous force which was aimed at us. Now people will say, but they were really never serious about invading Western Europe. Well, I think that I could make a damn good argument that they were very serious about invading Western Europe, certainly through the 60s, but by the early 70s, I think they were no longer interested in that, they simply wanted to hold on to what was there. And that’s essentially what they did, and of course that bred stagnation and decline, and eventually they simply fell apart on their own. I know everybody wants to believe that Ronald Reagan won the Cold War and defeated the Soviet Union, but the Soviet Union defeated itself. NATO is defeating itself. We picked this phoney opponent, and I say phoney because Russia is really not the opponent, and Putin, contrary to what’s being accused, has never been interested in the restoration of the Soviet Union. Far from it. He says frequently, ‘anybody who doesn’t miss the Soviet Union has no heart and anybody who wants to bring it back has no brain‘. You know, it’s one of those things that, in retrospect, Russians can look back on and say, well, we were powerful then, but they were also poor and miserable and oppressed, so there’s no interest in that whatsoever. Unfortunately, for various reasons, we’ve decided to characterise them in the worst terms and insist that they present this real threat. I think the European peoples are figuring out that’s not true now. It’s taking them longer than it would normally take because they’re even more gullible than Americans in terms of believing whatever the mainstream media say, and they’re much better at censoring, that means suppressing and oppressing people like you, Stephen, and others who represent alternative sources of information. But the information is getting through, and if you look at the polling data, the Poles, who were quite excited a couple of years ago about destroying Russia, now are in overwhelming numbers opposed to a war with Russia, yet their government still talks in stupid terms. But the Polish people are not interested in going to war with Russia and the chiefs of staff of the Polish armed forces have said, are you insane? We’re not prepared to fight the Russians.”

Eva Bartlett; “Seeing the bodies they were bringing back, I was in an ambulance that came under Israeli sniper fire during ceasefire hours. I saw white phosphorus, the effects of white phosphorus on a family home. I saw them in Al-Shifa Hospital, which is the main hospital in Gaza City. But then after I followed up on their story and it was a really tragic story, several members of the family didn’t make it. They burned to death, including an infant and others were badly disfigured from it. Anyway, all this as you can imagine is profoundly impactful and so I became very tunnel visioned on matters of Palestine. I spent three years in Gaza from 2008 to 2010 and then 2011 to 2013. During that time, two wars, the siege which is just absolutely devastating and people don’t really talk about that enough, prevented Palestinians from being able to live in any capacity, they couldn’t work, they couldn’t export, they couldn’t import, they couldn’t farm, they couldn’t fish. It was absolutely brutal during that time.
The war on Syria began in early 2011 and so when I left Gaza, I then went to Syria in 2014 and that was a very hard time because at that point all of Western and Gulf media were saying ‘this is a popular revolution against a dictator, blah blah, blah’. And reality it wasn’t, it was armed from the West from the very beginning, but yet mainstream media, lamestream media said for years and years and they even say now they refer to the armed terrorist groups which include Al Qaeda as rebels. And it wasn’t that at all. And they committed horrible crimes from the very beginning. So in 2014 it was still a very hard time to be in Syria. The terrorist factions outside of Damascus and Aleppo were shelling the cities. So I was writing about that a lot, but by that point I was pretty conversational in Arabic, so I was doing my utmost just to talk with people and get their voices out. Like what do they want, what do they experience? What was life like before 2011? Most people would say it was paradise. We were doing so well, our country was going upwards. It was very safe. They always emphasised the safety aspect anyway. And so I kept reporting from Syria until 2021 and during that time obviously events in Maidan started and I was aware, I wasn’t paying deep attention but I was aware, so in 2019 I finally went to the Donbas for my first time in September, and I spent a few weeks there. I went to Horlivka, Yasynuvata,, other areas, and didn’t speak any Russian, obviously, so it was difficult. But I had somebody from the region helping with translation. And then fast forward to 2021, I decided to move here (Russia) because, frankly, I was sick of the West. I was sick of the policy of the West. Every time I would go back, I was acutely aware that both Canada and America, I’m from both countries, are supporting the terrorism in all the places I’ve been reporting from, including Venezuela as well. And yet you go back home and I’m sure you experienced this as well, and you’re met with people citing Human Rights Watch or Amnesty International or New York Times as supposed evidence of the crimes that the enemies, that the US has made into enemies, are committing, when in fact it all emanates from the West. So I got sick of that. I got sick of the perversions of the West. I had visited here, Russia in 2019, went to Crimea then as well and I liked it, I thought, this is a beautiful country, the climate is very similar to Canada, so I’ll be very comfortable here. From the little over two months I’d spent here in 2019, I thought I could live here. And so I moved here in 2021, very happily. I spent the first year quite far south of Moscow, kind of in isolation, just enjoying the nature of Russia.”

I got that back from generals, admirals and air vice marshals in the MOD. As we’ve seen from Starmer, he can’t wait to get his camouflage gear on. He makes me feel rather ill every time I see him wearing it, he does want to be a wartime prime minister and it seems intent on dragging us into a conflict with Russia. Let’s just put the facts straight from the beginning. In 1991, with the old Soviet Union, when we negotiated for Germany to be reunited, we promised that NATO would not move one inch East. Since then, we have moved NATO 1,000 miles nearer to Moscow. Moscow has not moved nearer to us. For President Putin legitimately thinking that NATO would control Ukraine and have potentially nuclear missiles on his border, well, when the old Soviet Union wanted to place nuclear missiles in Cuba, 90 miles off the Floridan coast, that nearly took us to a nuclear apocalypse, that is accepted, we’re putting Russia in exactly the same situation. I think people need to look at the facts, look at the history, and stop watching the BBC propaganda. By the way, I haven’t had a television for some years. I gave a speech, the first one in any parliament, about excess deaths, and it took me nine months to get the debate. The BBC put inappropriate subtitles underneath it for the first time ever, never happened before in the history of the BBC. I got Ofcom, the communications regulator, to sanction the BBC and I got the nearest thing ever for the BBC to have issued an apology for doing it. They said they were adding context, but that was interesting. That happened to be the day that I received my renewal licence for my TV poll tax, so I decided to take my televisions out and wouldn’t subsidise the propaganda that was being used against me.”
Afshin Rattansi; ” We’re very used to OFCOM here when we were based in London. For international viewers, it’s the British Censorship Agency that is showing complete bias, albeit it has to work in terms of statutory instruments about how you cover the Ukraine war. And in fact, what you just said about Ukraine, I’m sure you recognise that in Britain, if you said all that, they would, just as if to shut you down, say, those are Russian talking points.”
Andrew Bridgen; “They would say I was a Putin puppet for actually repeating verifiable facts. Of course, we are effectively in a war with Russia now, it’s just a proxy war, but the first victim of every war is the truth, isn’t it? I’m not saying Putin is perfect, but I know that our current leaders and our historic prime ministers have been far less than perfect. I’ve seen them up close and it wasn’t pretty.”
Afshin Rattansi; “And as you said, those F35s that were used in Donetsk, they need British technicians and maintenance. There are also lots of talk about the SAS and MI6 being on the ground there. Starmer, as you said, who loves posing in military gear, I don’t think he’s been a member of the armed services, says he’s up for sending British soldiers to enforce any UK agreed to peace. I mean, does he actually think he can do any of this?”
Andrew Bridgen; “The generals told him the state of our defence forces, our military, our armed forces, and, and gave him a reality check. Some serving generals came out and said, ‘whatever Starmer’s promising, we just can’t deliver’. They’ve been running our armed forces down for decades, since 91 and then they’ve actually shut the last steel works in UK that can make weapons grade steel. They’re now telling us that we’re going to be at war with Russia within the next five years. Well, if they’re still in power, I think we probably will be. Here’s what their end game is, and it is really to cover up for the lies that have been told to the people in Europe, because of the crimes that are being committed against them and the money that’s been stolen off them, a lot of it laundered through Ukraine. And what we’re also seeing around the world is that half of the personal weapons sent by the West to support our great allies in Ukraine, they’ve sold them onto the black market, which has drastically dropped the cost of illegal weapons all around the world and a lot of them are filtering back into the wrong hands in the UK now.”

So I’m sure they’re still providing information to their friends in Kiev.
Judge Napolitano; “Is the military leadership the same general, I believe his name is Christopher Donahue, who boasted that the American troops could, with boots on the ground, take Kaliningrad, that part of Russia that’s not contiguous to the rest of it. And is he the guy in charge of American troops?
Douglas Macgregor; “Well, he certainly was at that time. I don’t know that he’s still there, he certainly was when he made that statement that was made back in June. He was the commander, for all intents and purposes, of all US army forces in Europe. But these kinds of statements are the kinds of things, unfortunately, that President Trump likes. President Trump has this imaginary picture of a general, and he thinks that every really good, serious general is somebody like George Patton, and so when someone speaks in these grandiose terms and scoffs at the potential opponent or diminishes any potential adversary, he’s probably getting an effective pat on the back from President Trump through Hegseth.”
Judge Napolitano; “The CIA, if the New York Times is accurate, built between 12 and 20 stations in Ukraine. Well, that’s a lot, Ukraine is big, but it’s not that big, I think it’s about the size of Texas. As far as, you know, are they still there? Are American intelligence still on the ground in Ukraine?”
Douglas Macgregor; “Well, of course. As far as the stations themselves, I think a number of them have been dismantled and moved. Just as many of the biolabs were overrun and captured by the Russians. I mean, this is one of the things that really changed public opinion in Russia and swung it decisively in favour of serious military action against Ukraine and potentially the West, when they discovered that there were biolabs working on genetic engineering designed to develop poisonous weapons to kill Slavs, you can imagine the outcome, and the Russian general who went in and discovered this, along with the efforts to build a dirty bomb in and around Kharkov and other places, he was eventually assassinated by the Ukrainians. But all of that information eventually reached the Russian public and that stiffened resolve dramatically against Ukraine in the West. So I’m sure that many of those places have been moved or dismantled and they’re much further west.”

Jeffrey Sachs; “The US gambled that it could pull Ukraine into the Western orbit and do it with NATO enlargement and make Russia fold. And that was the bet. And that bet was wrong for Russia. This was such a core set of issues that when the United States helped to overthrow a pro-Russian government or Russia-friendly government in Ukraine next door, when the United States built up the largest army in Europe, actually in Ukraine, during Trump, one period when the United States refused to negotiate over the NATO question at all, this is the deep state at work. And Trump came in with the right idea that this isn’t in America’s interest and it’s not working. Most importantly, from Trump’s point of view is this failed. This was a gambit. This was, remember, Americans play poker. This was trying to bet the pot with a pair of twos, and they vastly overplayed their hand. They bluffed or they believed their own press releases, but they thought that Putin would fold if you keep the poker analogy. And he didn’t fold. So Trump came in and said, I don’t want to play this hand anymore. This is Biden’s hand. That all makes sense. But as soon as he said it, the entire political class of the United States and Western Europe jumped up and down, ‘Oh, that’s appeasement. You can’t do that. You’re just doing Putin’s line and Putin’s interest’. What do they think? What’s the plan that Starmer has? How many Ukrainians is he going to kill? According to his plan, it’s another 500,000. What is the plan? Is Starmer really going to defeat Russia? Britain, which can’t even keep its clinics open anymore, it’s really going to defeat Russia right now. So they don’t have a plan. They’re just warmongering. And as long as it’s the Ukrainians dying, that’s fine. And they portray themselves as friends of Ukraine. Part of the problem is Zelensky. He’s a dictator. He can’t let go either. But he’s killing his own people, plain and simple. For what? For what prospect? What are the costs, the benefits, and the likelihoods? People don’t want to talk about any of that. But the vast likelihood is that all this is a path to continued war that destroys Ukraine. In the end, that’s the path we’re on. And Trump has been trying to get off that path. But whether he’s really straying off the path or not remains to be seen in his posting today about Putin gone absolutely crazy. This is a very bad sign. It shows that he’s succumbing to all the normal politics of Washington.
Russia has said all along for years they want to end this at the negotiating table, but they want the negotiations to be about ending the underlying causes of the war. It makes perfect sense, by the way, if you want to end this war. It’s not by freezing the conflict so that the war can start again, it’s by going to the root causes, NATO enlargement, collective security, territorial issues, and so on. So Russia has not resisted negotiating, it’s laid out its position. It’s probably negotiable in some parts, but to find out, you have to negotiate. Europe doesn’t want to negotiate. Europe doesn’t lay out any position. Zelensky’s position is total victory, total capitulation of Russia, war crimes, trials, reparations. It’s kind of a delusional list that is the opposite of really trying to get an end to the conflict.”
Scott Ritter; “The Ukrainian Operation Spiderweb, this drone attack on four Russian strategic bomber bases, violates at least two, probably more of the red lines of Russia’s nuclear doctrine. I mean, we’re playing with fire here because with different leadership, people that didn’t have the spine of Putin, people who didn’t have the foresight or the patience or the resilience of Putin, we’d probably all be dead now. That’s how serious this is. We’re talking about global nuclear exchange, the total annihilation of the world. So this isn’t a joke. This is as real as it gets. And it gets even more real when you realise that Ukraine couldn’t have done this without the assistance of either Great Britain, the United States or both. The likelihood is that it is the British who took the lead on the planning and execution of this operation. This has all sorts of British fingerprints on it, but up until Trump’s recent election, the United States was heavily involved in training Ukrainian special operators and intelligence service members in guerrilla warfare, unconventional warfare, covert direct action, all the things that are happening here. And I think it’s very possible that there’s rogue elements within the CIA’s paramilitary and international operations divisions who have maintained connectivity with their Ukrainian counterparts, either directly or indirectly, using the British as a cutout. But there’s American fingerprints on this attack, even if Donald Trump didn’t order it, even if Donald Trump wasn’t aware of it, the fact that Russia house in the CIA’s operations directorate was involved is problematic for world peace. The British are emerging as some of the worst people in the world. They don’t care about international peace and security, these are very petty people. Americans need to stop viewing the British as our fellow democrats, Great Britain is a terrorist nation because what Ukraine has done over the course of the past several days aren’t acts of war, these are acts of terrorism. Terrorism. That’s it. And I’ll get to that in a second. But the British are literally putting the survival of the world at risk because of their petty, petty differences with Vladimir Putin in Russia, and America should control this instantly, but we’re not. That’s a sign of American weakness there. The good news is when the Russians take a look at what’s happening, they look at the big picture. The big picture is they’re winning this war decisively. There isn’t a single front in which they’re losing. Everything Ukrainians did, from blowing up two trains to carrying out these drone attacks to their attack on the Crimea bridge today, are terrorist operations. That’s it. That’s all Ukraine can do right now. It’s cheap tricks. Go out and carry out some fancy covert operation. Looks good on paper. Did it impact the direction of the war? Ask the Ukrainian soldiers on the front line. And the answer is no. They’re getting slaughtered. They’re getting pushed back. They’re losing territory. They have no reserves. They have no ammunition. They’re running out of everything. Ask the Ukrainian negotiators in Istanbul, because everything the Ukrainians have been doing is designed to disrupt these negotiations.”

The sham of the so-called Gaza Peace Plan

Vanessa Beeley; “The Gaza Peace Plan is really a reiteration of what we’ve seen many times since October 7th in various guises and forms. And of course the Tony Blair Institute was exposed as having played a part in some of the planning sessions previously. The fact that Tony Blair is now front and centre should be no surprise, he was the Middle East so-called peace envoy previously, he’s hated in the Middle East for his infanticidal role in Iraq and in the entire region. So to put this into context, I’m just going to show a couple of excerpts from Netanyahu’s speech at the UNGA (United Nations General Assembly). Glad to say that the majority of nations walked out when he started speaking, except for of course those that are fully aligned with Israel and the genocide in Palestine. So as part of his speech he rejected the idea entirely of a Palestinian state. He said giving the Palestinians a state one mile from Jerusalem after October 7th is like giving Al Qaeda a state one mile from New York City after 9/11. “This is sheer madness. Israel will not allow you to shove a terrorist state down our throats”. Well that is super interesting for me because the recent UNGA was attended by former members of Al Qaeda, in fact former founder members of Al Qaeda. But let’s have a listen to another section of this speech in which he points out that it is the majority view in Israel that no state of Palestine will ever exist. So let’s just play this.
Netanyahu; “We will not commit national suicide because you don’t have the guts to face down a hostile media and antisemitic mobs demanding Israel’s blood. And I want you to grasp something else which is also distorted in the media. I say this not only in binding or the name of my government, but on behalf of all the people of Israel. Last year there was a vote in the Knesset, our Parliament, whether or not to oppose the imposition of a Palestinian state. You want to guess what the results were? Out of 120 members of our parliament, 99 voted against and only nine supported. That’s over 90%.”
Vanessa Beeley; “Which of course is what we’ve been saying since October 7th and even before then, that virtually the majority of the population of Israel are in favour of the ethnic cleansing project to rid what they consider the State of Israel from any Palestinian presence. But as I mentioned, of course interesting that he mentions Al Qaeda and New York when Al Qaeda were given red carpet treatment in New York at the UNGA, and this is Jolani meeting with Ronald Lauder, who is head of the Jewish Congress and of course an uber-zionist and a great friend of Netanyahu. And they were discussing the Syria Israel peace agreement and so on. So you know, his entire speech is a litany of hypocrisy. But I’m going to come on to the actual peace plan, the points of which have been revealed in multiple media outlets. This is in the Times of Israel, the 21-point plan for ending the Gaza war and creating a pathway to a Palestinian state, which of course it doesn’t. So I’ve summarised the points that were laid out in this article and we’ll run through them very quickly. Of course, first of all, Gaza to be de-radicalised and there to be educational re-education programmes to change mindsets of Palestinians, in other words, to force them to abandon any idea of Palestinian statehood or even justice for the hundred years plus of ethnic cleansing and genocide that has been ongoing since 1917. It will be redeveloped for the benefit of the people of Palestine. Of course we know that’s not true, we’ve covered multiple times on UK Column the potential for a multinational free trade zone. So then IOF will halt operations, gradual withdrawal, so they’re not committing to full withdrawal immediately. Within 48 hours after Israel publicly accepts the deal, all hostages, living or dead Israeli hostages will be returned, and after this, Israel will free several hundred security prisoners and a thousand Gazans arrested during the war. Now of course this doesn’t take into account the 9,000, 10,000 Palestinian prisoners that are still being held as hostages effectively in Israeli jails and who are being effectively tortured, raped, abused on a daily, if not hourly basis. Then we get on to a few more points from the peace plan. So allegedly Hamas members can safely leave Gaza or accept amnesty to remain, if of course they promise to disarm and give up all ideas of Palestinian statehood. Hamas has actually come forward requesting amendments and they’ve pointed out, well, does that mean that we’re not going to get assassinated in Qatar or in the country that we decide to go to, as has been happening, of course. Aid and rehabilitation will take place, distribution of the aid by UN agencies, although they’ve banned UNRWA and Red Crescent and the very high chance that Gaza Humanitarian Foundation will be allowed back in, who of course have themselves been committing crimes against Palestinians trying to reach aid centres. A transitional governance by Palestinian technocrats under the supervision of the US, Arab and EU partners, so in other words, total sort of disenfranchisement of Palestinians effectively in Gaza. Then it goes on, there will be a free trade zone in Gaza, which is exactly what we’ve been talking about, this creation of a free trade zone under the control of the US and the zionist bloc. Total demilitarisation, regional partners of Israel will provide security guarantees, US and Arab security will effectively occupy Gaza. After PA reform, because of course the Palestinian Authority, Netanyahu also attacks them in his UNGA speech, after they’ve been reformed and all the former measures have been taken, then there will be discussion of Palestinian statehood. So this is not offering anything. This is effectively saying you will all come into line, you will do everything that Israel requires of you. And what’s going to happen, it will push Hamas into a corner. They’ve already come forward with a request for amendments and a request for further time to consider the peace plan and to come back with their answer. But of course, what Israel is doing is pushing Hamas in a corner where they’ll be deemed the belligerent because they don’t agree with all the conditions that effectively completely disenfranchise Palestinians in Gaza. President Donald Trump is declaring it a historic day for peace. Hala Jaber, a Lebanese journalist, has a different concept of that. She says behind the fanfare of ‘one of the greatest days in civilisation’ lies humiliation, exile and a trusteeship that Palestinians have never asked for and in fact they’ve fought against. And finally, if we look at this is a recent trilateral phone call with Donald Trump and Netanyahu, where in fact they’ve also said to Qatar, who was recently bombed by Israel, we promise not to bomb you again, so Qatar is effectively, as David Miller said, come into line with the so-called peace plan. ‘The death toll in Gaza has risen, with Israeli bombardment killing at least 73 people since dawn, most of them in Gaza City, medical sources told Al Jazeera. Earlier, we reported that two missiles struck a school that had been converted into a shelter east of the city, killing dozens of displaced Palestinians. As civil defence crews rushed to the scene, another strike critically injured many of them and killed six more civilians. Elsewhere, at least seven people were killed in an attack on a house in the Daraj neighbourhood. Israel’s assault on the enclave shows no sign of easing, with strikes continuing to pound densely populated areas.
Sinn Fein Senator Chris Andrews has been “illegally detained” by Israeli forces while on board the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters, Irish political party Sinn Fein has said. It called on the Irish government to “act now” and “demand the immediate and safe release of Senator Chris Andrews and all Irish citizens”. “The flotilla is a peaceful humanitarian mission carrying food and aid to Gaza. This violent interception is a blatant violation of international law,” it added. There are a total of 22 Irish citizens on board boats carrying aid towards Gaza, coordinators of the Global Sumud Flotilla have said. Irish President Michael D Higgins has reportedly said international law has been breached by Israel in relation to the interception of the vessels. “In recent weeks, there was a near consensus among members of the United Nations that a Palestinian State should be recognised as an essential building block for peace in the region,” he said, according to Irish broadcaster RTE. “We might well ask where stands this commitment now if a flotilla involving more than 40 boats and more than 500 people from the international community seeking to bring humanitarian aid – water, medicines and food to those who are in desperate need – is being prevented from achieving that humanitarian objective,” he added.’

“The UK has played a central role in the history of the Palestinian crisis and now it’s being sued for it. A group of Palestinians say Britain is responsible for a century of oppression, including war crimes and they want reparations.This is going to take some explaining, so let’s start in 1914. It’s World War I and the Allies are fighting the Central Powers. Primarily it’s Britain, France and Russia against the German, Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian empires. The Ottomans controlled all of this and it was during this war that Britain made three conflicting promises that still cast a shadow of a Palestine today. One in 1915 and 16, as detailed in the Hussein-McMahon letters, Britain promised to support Arab independence, including that of Palestine, if the Arab armies under King Hussein helped Britain overthrow the Ottomans. Two, Britain then struck a secret deal with France to split the conquered Ottoman territory between the two countries with Britain taking over Palestine. That’s what’s known as the Sykes-Picot Agreement. Three, the 1917 Balfour Declaration in which Britain pledged to support a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine while also promising not to harm the rights of existing non-Jewish communities. Now you can probably guess which promises they kept. So despite protests, Britain began the occupation of Palestine under what was known as the British Mandate of Palestine. For the next 30 years, Britain shaped the Palestinian territories to its will. Critics say Britain broke international law by failing to recognise an Arab nation in Palestine as it pledged to do so in the Hussein-McMahon letters. The Empire is also accused of deliberately transforming the political, social and cultural landscape of Palestine without having the legal basis to do so. For example, under the British Mandate, the Jewish population grew from around 60,000 to more than 600,000, with the majority migrating from Europe while international zionist groups bought up land from absentee owners, then expelled tens of thousands of Palestinian tenants. Then there’s the division of historic Palestine. Critics say Britain bears primary responsibility for the abandonment of a unified Palestine, having encouraged partition as a solution to irreconcilable divisions it itself had nurtured. Britain’s also accused of foreseeing but not doing anything to prevent atrocities by armed zionist groups that eventually led to the Nakba, the expulsion of thousands of Palestinians from their homeland to make way for the creation of the State of Israel. Britain handed over responsibility for Palestine to the UN. In 1948 the UN voted for partition, a two-state solution which has become the internationally recognised goal. Since then the UK has considered Israel an ally, including now while it demolishes Gaza, even though it has a century long history of involvement in the territory with the name Palestine written into its mandate, Britain is only now set to formally recognise a Palestinian state. The new legal case against the UK government is part of a campaign called Britain Owes Palestine. It may not be the colonial power it was 100 years ago, but to Palestinians, Britain’s legacy of dispossession and division is ever present.”

“Palestine is absolutely out of the picture. Certainly was in my education. In fact, I was taught the opposite. I was of the generation that had geography textbooks. I remember them now, which taught me about how the Israelis came to the empty desert and made the desert bloom and turned them into orange groves. So I feel, as many people do, who have heard the Palestinian point of view and see what has happened to the Palestinians. I feel that I was sold a lie by my education system. But a major historical untruth. It was not true that Palestine was a desert until the Israelis turned up in 1948, and that they turned an empty desert into orange groves. Anyone who studies the history will discover that the Palestinians who are there today are a rich mix of all the peoples who have passed through that patch of land over the past 5,000 years. The DNA of the Palestinian Christians is almost identical to the DNA of bodies dug up from the Bronze Age anywhere in that region. The only people that have a slightly higher DNA match to Bronze Age skeletons are the Samaritans, a tiny group of which only a few thousand left in the West Bank. Next down the line comes Palestinian Muslims and then Sephardic Jewish Israelis. So these people are all cousins, just like the Protestants and the Catholics in Northern Ireland are separated brothers who have finally learned to live together since the Good Friday Agreements. I feel very strongly that we need to do all we can to encourage the Palestinians and the Israelis to come together, whether it’s in one state or two states. Some way there needs to be the equivalent of the Good Friday Agreement, a peace process which leads to the sharing of that. At the moment, the current government, very, very clearly under Smotrich Ben Gvir and Netanyahu, are making it completely crystal clear that they are imminently about to evict and ethnically cleanse the 2.1 million Palestinians in Gaza. And their actions make it clear that a similar fate awaits those in the West Bank, of which there are 4 million. So enormous numbers of people stand to lose their land, their freedoms, their ability to live in their ancestral homes. One of the supreme human rights horrors of our time is unfolding before for us, and our government is on the wrong side. We are selling aircraft parts, we are providing diplomatic cover, we are providing intelligence to the aggressors, to the IDF, and we’re doing almost nothing to protect the Palestinians. To remind the government, in 1917, at the Balfour Declaration, a promise was made that the establishment of a Jewish homeland would not in any way undermine the civil and religious rights of the non Jewish inhabitants of Palestine. That was the phrase in the Balfour Declaration. We sat on our hands when that promise was torn up in 1948 and 750,000 Palestinians were evicted from their homes. And right up to the present, the last government and this government, we are doing all we can to support Israel. One has a duty to speak out.”

3. Numerous groups and organisations have said there is clear evidence that Israel has committed war crimes in Gaza. Why have you not come out and said this?
4. Before Labour assumed office last year, David Lammy urged the Foreign Office to publish its formal legal advice on whether Israel is breaching international humanitarian law in Gaza. Why hasn’t Labour done this now it’s in power? Are there plans to do so?
5. What assessments have been made about the legal position of government ministers themselves due to their support of Israel during a genocide? Has the prime minister received advice about the risks of being arrested and prosecuted?
6. In light of the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), will the government confirm that it would arrest Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant if they were to come to the UK or enter UK airspace?

43. Why have UK-based drone engine manufacturers (namely RCV Engines in Dorset) been allowed to export engines for quadcopters manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries without apparently requiring any export licence?
44. Why did the UK government suspend arms licences for fighter jet components but continue to allow the export of parts which are used to train Israeli pilots to fly advanced fighter jets, including the F-35 and F-16?
45. What is the UK government’s estimation of the proportion of F-35 components produced in Britain which are onward-exported to Israel via third countries?
46. Will the government publish the specific arms licences that were restricted from export to Israel in September 2024? If not, why not?

Lobby groups

Keir Starmer, Rachel Reeves, David Lammy and many other Cabinet ministers were until recently supporters or officials within Labour Friends of Israel, despite never declaring it on the parliamentary Register of Interests. Why was this not declared? And are any cabinet ministers still members of the group?
59. Why does the government not require Labour Friends of Israel and Conservative Friends of Israel to declare who its funders are, considering that these groups fund so many MPs?
60. Do any cabinet ministers know the identity of Labour Friends of Israel’s major donors?

Humanitarian aid
64. The UK has the ability to deliver enough aid to Gaza to prevent famine and starvation. Do you accept that the government is prioritising its political alliance with Israel over the fate of starving Palestinians?
65. The RAF conducted some aid drops into Gaza under the Conservative government, but no further aid drops happened under Labour until July 2025. If the government is genuinely concerned about the humanitarian situation in Gaza, why did it take more than a year in power to conduct another aid drop?
66. Israel has intercepted UK-flagged aid boats (including the ‘Madleen) destined for Gaza, while they were in international waters. Does the UK government accept that such interception is illegal under international law? Why has the government not condemned Israel’s interception?
67. What assessment has the government made about the very high numbers of Palestinians – including children – being detained in Israeli prisons without charge or trial? Why has the government not publicly condemned this?

And that’s the means for getting around that. That’s one network, almost a thousand organisations, there are other networks and people have no conception that actually this is about influence farming all around the world by the regime. Vanessa Beeley; “We still have the unlawful keeping of the Filton 24 members of Palestine Action who led the direct action campaign against Elbit Systems in an attempt to highlight the genocide and prevent the genocide, and they of course have spent a year, in fact I think now its more, in prison without trial, the first trial I think of three members of Palestine Action will be taking place on 17 November at Wooolwich Crown Court and we’ve also talked regularly about the conditions that these young people are being kept in, in remand. Effectively they are going through abuse and torture at the hands of the state. One interesting fact is that very recently this was in the Guardian, ‘Israeli Arms Manufacturer Closes the UK Facility Targeted by Palestine Action’. Now this is perceived as a success at the hands of direct action by Palestine Action. My suspicion is that its going to re-emerge somewhere else, potentially renamed or rebranded so we have to keep an eye on that. But absolutely extraordinary that the British government is pursuing collaboration with Elbit Systems despite all of the controversy surrounding it, while effectively torturing and abusing their own citizens for actually protesting genocide in the UK.”
Mike Robinson; “But even aside from that, the fact that we have a foreign nation, namely Israel, now burying itself directly into the heart of UK military training, this is at a level which it means that Israel would be given access to every single real capability, particularly of the army. And this, to me is utterly incredible. What decision has been taken that Israel is trustworthy enough to even deal with training secrets within the UK military? Aside from the secondary point, which is absolutely valid, of this company being linked into the horrors going on in Gaza?”
Brian Gerrish; “I think just to add a little bit more to this business of Israel, it’s quite incredible that back in the days of Francis Maude, he was the minister who suddenly announced that we’d gone into this massive pact with Israel, an MOU I think it was, a memorandum of understanding at the time, which meant that Israeli intelligence services were absolutely going to be partnered with British intel. We were going to be bringing in GCHQ, we were going to be bringing in the universities, and there was absolutely no full debate in the House of Commons over the risks of this. And now we’ve moved forward to the fact that Israel is not only burying itself into the NHS, it’s now at the heart of British military. It’s becoming difficult to tell whether we’ve got a government which is actually being run from Westminster for the benefit of the people in the UK, or we’re simply now some sort of overseas colony of Israel. I’m being pretty tough in this, but I think there’s some really serious questions to be asked and we should also be looking at the names of the people who’ve set up these joint arrangements with Israel. Who were they? Where are the minutes of the meeting and what is proposed next?”
Vanessa Beeley; “Some people may have seen this. I saw it certainly 10 years ago in Sweden. A lady called Barbara Lerner Spectre made a very bold claim. She said Europe has not yet learned how to be multicultural, but it must become so if it is to survive. And our people, bearing in mind she’s Israeli, our people will be at the centre of making this happen. Now, these words weren’t just off the cuff. You know, she was the founder of a company called Paideia Institute (the European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden), which is backed by the Swedish government and funded. And she was part of something bigger, a web of radical NGOs and foundations shaping Europe’s future. So let’s see what she had to say 10 years ago.”
Barbara Lerner Spectre; “I think there’s a resurgence of antisemitism, because at this point in time, Europe has not yet learned how to be multicultural. And I think we’re going to be part of the throes of that, of that transformation which must take place. Europe is not going to be the monolithic societies that they once were. In the last century, Jews are going to be at the centre of that. It’s a huge transformation for Europe to make. They are now going into a multicultural mode and Jews will be resented because of our leading role. But without that leading role and without that transformation, Europe will not survive.”
Vanessa Beeley; ” I think when she said monolithic, I think she meant sort of traditional Christian, you know, values of Europe. So it’s quite interesting what she said there. Now, I want to just look at some of these NGOs. We’ve got the one called HIAs, which is the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, and we’ve got Open Society Foundations of George Soros as well, the American Jewish Committee and the European Jewish Congress. They’re heavily funded and they have billions in resources to fund any programme they wish. And this programme which is, let’s face it, it is the Coudenhove-Kalergi Programme, which people are given the Charlemagne Prize for actually rolling this out in Europe. So, you know, I think the shared reasoning of what she’s saying is she’s saying a multicultural Europe is a safer Europe for minorities, especially Jews. And at first it sounds kind of noble. Who wouldn’t argue against tolerance and safety and diversity? But if you look closer, there’s massive double standards. As we can see, in Europe, the message is clear. It’s break down the old order, tear away the traditional values and dissolve the nation state. It’s diversity at any cost. But in Israel, the message is the polar opposite. Israel defines itself as a Jewish state. Immigration is tightly controlled, demographics are guarded, and multiculturalism is seen as a direct threat to survival. So how can it be both? This is my question.”

And if you look at her results, which she sent to me, you find that there’s enriched uranium in Iraq before the second Gulf War. And you think, excuse me, Guten Morgen. So this weapon was used long, long ago. She said to me that she thought that this was the weapon that was used to kill all of Saddam’s guards who were defending Baghdad airport at the time of the second Gulf War because they were all found dead in their trenches, but there was no reason for them being dead. And people who, at the time, who I met and told me about this when I was in Malaysia talking about uranium, they told me that the report was that here were a lot of big flashes and then the next day all of these people in their dugouts sheltered behind concrete, were dead, but with no apparent reason for them being dead. So I think this is a tuneable weapon and it’s pretty much like Delgidashi said, once you’ve got the technology you can produce as many neutrons as you like or you can produce no neutrons. You can make anything from just an ordinary DU (depleted uranium) bullet that goes bam through a tank to something like a sort of super DU bullet that contains hydrogen and burns its way through the tank and produces neutrons, or you can make something pretty much close to a nuclear weapon, which I think is what Israel has done and what they’re using. Chris Busby; “Well, I know an awful lot about the disposal of nuclear waste in this way because I was commissioned by the Swedish anti-nuclear people to write a big report about the Forsmark repository which actually has been allowed to go ahead now. And there was a big court case which I was involved in as well in Stockholm in the Nacka environmental court, in which we argued that what they were proposing was astonishingly awful and dangerous, but in fact in the end what happened in Sweden is that the government overruled the findings of the Nacka court. The environmental court said you can’t do this, and they said, well, stuff you, we’re going to go ahead and do it. So they overruled the Nacka court. And so they’re building this exact repository, the one that Miliband is talking about, out under the Baltic Sea near the Forsmark site in Sweden, north of Uppsala. So the real answer is that they mustn’t do this. I mean what can we say? All we can do is bleat and all the local people, people can bleat and do bleat and the government like in England, just like the government in Sweden, can just go ahead and say, well, stuff you.”

And this is just one section from her pinned post, ‘If my British government, she’s a British citizen, wants to let you, meaning the zionists, do this to their NHS doctor, who has zero patient complaints or disciplinary actions, and let you dictate who gets to practice medicine in Britain, depriving the British public of my care, then so be it. We will never abandon Gaza’. So let’s dig down into what is actually happening. This is a video. She originally came under investigation by the medical council, the GMC, under the terrorist act. Of course, that case, after nine months, was dismissed. There were no charges against her, etc. And this is just her little explanation on that.”
Dr Rahmeh Aladwan; “The GMC found no basis for any of the allegations under the terrorism act and asked me to comment on the antisemitism allegations. Case examiners found no realistic evidence that my fitness to practise is impaired and closed the case. No action, no warning. Case closed. Rightfully. This smear piece is a retaliation. What are they saying? Who exactly is saying it? Who is this mystery colleague and what is their true intention?”
Vanessa Beeley; “So once she was cleared by the GMC and back at work, this happened. So in February 2025, the Daily Mail ran a horrendous smear piece against Rameh, ‘The shocking full extent of antisemitism at of our health service from the doctor terrifying colleagues with her views to the neurologist idolising Hamas’. And this is written by junior news reporter Sabrina Miller. People might recognise her from the formal Bristol University student who waged a campus war for Israel against David Miller. Of course, David Miller eventually won his case against Bristol University and is now facing an appeal case by the the zionist lobby, the zionist movement. So then Rameh looked into or discovered those who were attacking her through the Daily Mail article. She again put all this information out on X. So she says here, ‘leaked, confirmed, the doctor who had lied about me in the Daily Mail’s defamatory article, Dr. Miriam Green, is the same colleague who complained to Whittington Hospital, our workplace, about my online Palestine activism and had me fired’. Now, in one video, Rameh actually explains what really happened is that she was in tears because of something that had just happened in Gaza that had deeply traumatised her. She’d entered the work staff room and she had spoken to Miriam Green about it, who had turned tail and shrugged her shoulders and walked out. And as a result of that, she led this case against Rameh. So she then goes on to explain what happened once she’d been doxxed by Dr. Miriam Green, who was her junior, on the medical staff, her private information was shared, her friend and fellow doctor was doxxed the same night, their private information was shared, ‘I received rape and death threats, we both had to call the police’. The police came to her home. ‘They sent me panic alarms and followed up with me for weeks. They transferred me to a hate crime support group’ and it goes on from there. So she says in this, what is happening in Britain? She alerts us all to what is going on.”
Dr Rameh Aladwan; “They have done the same to me, difference here is they’re targeting a British citizen on British soil, all while rallying for a foreign state by leveraging their ties to the media and the government. Many UK LFI (Lawyers for Israel) lawyers are lords. They’re acting as foreign agents, breaching UK democracy, security and interest. The GMC reiterated that my posts are within the limits of political speech which attracts the highest level of protection under Article 10. The political debate is their opinion versus mine. Israel is afraid of the fact that 96% of the Gazan population are very well educated and they know that this will lead to more resistance to their plans to occupy Gaza and to occupy Palestinian territories. So this is one of their main worries, that we should assassinate every scholar, and the number of scholars that has been assassinated so far, you’re talking about nearly a thousand scholars. We know some of their names and universities, including many universities, all of them have been reduced to rubble, so they want to make sure that the next generations in Gaza are going to be illiterate and they won’t receive any kind of education. But despite that, what we’re seeing at the moment is that Palestinians of Gaza are running makeshift schools to continue this education, but unfortunately there haven’t been any efforts to help them and to have their backs in this miraculous journey. And that’s why Israel keeps targeting every kind of school. Even when I was reporting in Gaza, until now I’m talking to one of the initiators of this education journey and he told me we are losing our students and they are being targeted by Israel and some of them are children, and many of them are teachers. Israel is very adamant to destroy every aspect of human life in Gaza. One of their top priorities is dismantling the education process.”
Chris Williamson; “Well, David, I mean you were just saying previously that more needs to be done, but just say a word or two, will you, about the, the response in Britain to the academic boycott, how is that going down?”
David Miller; “Well, British scholars were involved in the initial call, especially famously, Hilary Rose and Stephen Rose of the Open University. And this had quite a head of steam behind it and eventually the University College Union, as it was called then, the Association of University Teachers passed a motion in favour of it and then of course the lawfare from the zionists started and that actually collapsed the will of the union to resist. And that’s actually been quite a successful counter attack by the zionists. Of course the boycotts continue. But we need to be seeing now, all this time on, 20 years after it started, we need to be seeing a much bigger push from the universities to reinstitute that through the unions. And so far we’re not seeing that. So there needs to be a much bigger push to make sure that no university in this country has anything to do with the zionists.”

And also remembering that, for example, Together for Palestine, the two founders of that organisation, Anna Nolan and James Sadri, again I repeat, are responsible for the narratives that finally brought down Syria and are now responsible for the regime in Syria that is destroying the Palestinian movement within Syria itself. Kirk came away fretting about Israeli “blackmail,” sources say, as he began attending Catholic mass.
Update: After The Grayzone exposed the covert Hamptons influencer summit, and podcaster Candace Owens provided additional details about the event, Bill Ackman released a lengthy statement declaring, “at no time have I ever threatened Charlie Kirk, Turning Point or anyone associated with him. I have never blackmailed anyone, let alone Charlie Kirk. I have never offered Charlie or Turning Point any money in an attempt to influence Charlie’s opinion on anything.”
One of the influencers who participated in the Hamptons gathering, and was junketed to Israel an all-expenses-paid propaganda tour soon after, Xaviaer DuRousseau, released his own statement recalling how Charlie Kirk complained about “moral blackmail” during an argument over Israel at the closed-door event.
On September 11, one day after the assassination of Charlie Kirk, billionaire pro-Israel moneyman Bill Ackman took to Twitter/X to trumpet his relationship with the late conservative operative. “I feel incredibly privileged to have spent a day and shared a meal with @charliekirk11 this summer. He was a giant of a man.”
The Grayzone has spoken to five people with intimate knowledge of Kirk’s meeting with Ackman, which was held in early August. According to one source, Kirk was left upset after the gathering turned into an “intervention” where he was “hammered” for his increasingly skeptical views on the US special relationship with Israel, and for platforming prominent conservative critics of Israel at his TPUSA events.
Since publishing this report, The Grayzone has learned from one attendee of the Hamptons event that Ackman convened the influencers under the auspices of a discussion about Zohran Mamdani and the supposed threat he posed to the West if elected mayor of New York. But the meeting went off the rails when Ackman personally confronted Kirk about his views on Israel. The public face of UK Lawyers for Israel, Natasha Hausdorff, joined in the argument, and began “screaming” at Kirk, according to the attendee.
When his hosts presented him with a detailed list of every offense he supposedly committed against Israel, Kirk was “horrified,” said one person. Ackman also allegedly demanded Kirk rescind his invitation for Tucker Carlson to speak at his upcoming America Fest 2025 in December.
“The whole thing was a disaster,” said an attendee.
The Grayzone reported on September 12, citing a longtime associate of Kirk, that Netanyahu had offered to organise a massive infusion of pro-Israel money into TPUSA, and that Kirk refused. Another longtime friend of Kirk has told The Grayzone that the conservative activist also rejected an offer Netanyahu delivered two weeks before his death to meet with him in Jerusalem.
Kirk, according to one person with inside knowledge of the meeting with Ackman, said he left feeling as though he’d been subjected to “blackmail.”
In a series of text messages with The Grayzone, Ackman described these account of his meeting with Kirk as “totally false.” He pledged to release a public statement providing his own account of the event, but refused The Grayzone’s request for clarification or further details. He would not accept phone calls from this reporter.
“I think I can easily put this to bed,” Ackman promised, “I have receipts as they say.” He did not abide when asked to provide the so-called “receipts.”
In an apparent bid to reinforce the pro-Israel tone at the Hamptons meeting, Ackman hosted a coterie of pro-Israel operatives and conservative influencers at the off-the-record engagement. One was Instagram influencer Xaviaer DuRousseau of Prager U.
Reached by phone by The Grayzone, DuRousseau sounded flustered when asked about his presence at the meeting. He repeatedly demanded to know how this reporter obtained his number, and eventually hung up, refusing to answer questions about the event.’

‘After nearly two years of denial, the UN’s report finds Israel guilty of genocide in Gaza. From this day forward, the whole world carries responsibility.
For the very first time in history, the United Nations has officially declared that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Not “possible genocide.” Not “plausible genocide.” Genocide. It is the gravest charge in international law. The “crime of crimes.” And it carries with it an obligation — not just for Israel, but for every government, every institution, every taxpayer who funds this slaughter. That includes you. That includes me. That includes the United States.
The UN’s words are not symbolic. They are binding. Under the Genocide Convention, every signatory state — including America — now has a legal duty to prevent, to punish, and to stop their complicity. That is why this moment matters so much. The UN’s language is precise:
“Israel has deliberately imposed conditions of life calculated to bring about the physical destruction of Palestinians in Gaza, including starvation, destruction of healthcare, and deprivation of essential services.”
Family, these are not accidents, not collateral damage. They are deliberate. And the Commission didn’t stop with deaths. It also documented thousands who lost limbs, children burned beyond recognition, families displaced into endless cycles of bombardment. In the report’s words, “serious bodily and mental harm has been inflicted on a scale consistent with genocidal acts.” The horror is not just in numbers, but in intent. When you blockade food, bomb bakeries, and bulldoze farmland, starvation is not a byproduct — it is the point.’

And Reform Judaism said, yes, you can have a Jewish state before the Messiah comes. And the reason you could have it was the Rothschilds had made so much money, they said, we’ll buy our own state. So the Rothschilds sent people out to the Middle East to have Jewish settlements and which is today the state of Israel, totally created by the Rothschild money. And so Reform Judaism then became the cause of a great schism between Orthodox Jews and Reform Jews. Now, no one has ever told you this, I’m sure, but you think that the Jewish community is monolithic. In fact, it’s split sharply down the middle. Even today they have riots in the Jewish parliament between the Orthodox Jews and the Reform Jews. And they cannot agree on anything because the basic premise is a fundamental disagreement over whether a Jewish state should even exist today. So In Germany in 1923, the German Jews were quite prosperous and quite happy and they were not interested in becoming zionists and they were not interested in going to Palestine. After all, they had beautiful mansions in Germany, they had symphony orchestras, they had art, they had everything. And they were accepted in the community. As Ezra Pound said, Germany was the least anti-Jewish country in Europe. When you went over into Poland and Russia you had very strong feeling against Jews. But in Germany they were accepted and happy, so why would you ever have an anti Jewish government in Germany? And of course Hitler allying himself with the zionists, he said, after all, you’re right, he said, we have the same goals. So he allied with the zionist party and the mission of the Nazis was to force the anti-zionist Jews to accept zionism. And this is what the concentration camps were about. They put the anti-zionist Jews in the concentration camps and they were placed under the direct administration of the Sonderkommandos who were the zionist Jews. So the concentration camps were run by the zionist Jews in order to punish and get rid of the anti-zionist Jews, which they did. And of course that’s a part of the Holocaust that you’re never told that. This was a fundamental Jewish disagreement which the German people. Daniel Goldhagen wrote a book in which he said all Germans cooperated in their anti Jewish feeling and the Holocaust, which was not true at all. The Germans did not even know what was going on, most of them. It’s just like in the United States when we were perfecting the atomic bomb and bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the American people knew nothing about it. It was forbidden to mention the atomic bomb. I was serving in the Air force at that time. We never heard of any atomic mission or atomic bomb until the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. So you could say the American people are guilty of the greatest atrocity, the dropping of the atomic bomb on Japanese civilians. But that isn’t true. The American people knew nothing about it. I knew nothing about it in the Air force and I was right there. So these things go on without the knowledge of the people or the approval of the people. But of course they have to accept the results. These things happen and you’re stuck with it. So this is the real story of zionism that the Nazis. So then, well, if the Nazis had allied with zionists, why didn’t the Nazi party survive? Well, what happened was in 1945, after the German military was defeated, they brought in the German leaders, the German generals at Nuremberg trials tried and convicted and executed them. They had to execute them because they didn’t want them around to testify about the alliance between the Nazis and the zionists. So they had to die. And they were executed for that reason because, oh, they told about the atrocities that the German generals had committed. But German generals are like any other generals, they don’t really commit atrocities. The troops under their command, they commit atrocities, but they don’t commit any atrocities themselves. These German generals didn’t go around shooting Jews or anybody else, but they were executed. And so the zionist secret was safe. And now the zionists were now in command of the world because their National Socialist allies were now gone from history and the zionists had a free rein. So they set up the state of Israel. And in fact, some Jews themselves even claim that there should be a statue to Adolf Hitler and in Israel, because he created the state of Israel, which is absolutely true. Without Adolf Hitler, Israel would not exist. The Jews would still be dispersed and they would have no country. But George Steiner, a very famous Jewish writer, proposed this about 10 years ago. He said, why don’t they put up a statue of Adolf Hitler in Israel? Well, they’re not likely to because there again, the big job of the criminals is to keep the truth from the people they want. Not only do they want you not to find out anything, but they flood you with disinformation. Most of the stuff that you get in the press is absolute lies, and if it’s not lies, it’s spin or distortions. In other words, they give you 10% of the truth and the rest is all distortions. And they demonise people so that you’re filled with anger against the Holocaust people who murdered all the Jews in Germany. Politico in 2019 reported, citing three former U.S. officials, that Israel had planted Stingray devices around the White House to spy on Trump’s cell phone communications. Boris Johnson, the former British PM, wrote in his memoir that Netanyahu went to use his personal toilet and afterwards his personal security team found a listening device in his toilet. Like, immediately afterwards, Tony Blair told his own team, when you go to Israel, do not speak about anything sensitive in government buildings or cars. So I don’t think I’m being fed a bunch of conspiracy theories here. And what I reported based on background sourcing matches up with the things that Charlie Kirk said in public that he was being bombarded by what he called Jewish stakeholders, maning his funders.”

‘The reluctant recognition of Palestinian statehood by Britain, France, Australia, Canada this week is a con – it is the same switch and bait that has been blocking the creation of a Palestinian state for three decades now. Imagine that these four leading western countries had recognised Palestine not in late 2025, when Palestine is in the final stages of being eradicated, but in the late 1990s, during a period of supposed Palestinian state-building.That was when the Oslo accords were signed with western backing. The Palestinian Authority was established under Yasser Arafat with the apparent aim that Israel would gradually withdraw from the territories it still occupies in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem and begin ruling an emergent Palestinian state.
At Israel’s insistence, let us note, the Oslo accords carefully avoided any mention of the ultimate destination of this process. Nonetheless, the message from western politicians and media was the same: this was heading towards a Palestinian state living in peace alongside Israel. Looking back, it is evident why that did not happen when it still looked feasible. The Israeli leader of the time, Yitzhak Rabin, told the Israeli parliament that his vision was not of a state but of “an entity which is less than a state”: a glorified Palestinian local authority utterly dependent on its bigger neighbour, Israel, for its security and economic survival.
After Rabin was assassinated by a far-right Israeli gunman, his successor, Benjamin Netanyahu, was propelled into power by a majority of the Israeli public on a mandate to stop the Oslo process in its tracks. He repeatedly reneged on commitments to withdraw Israeli soldiers and Jewish settler-militias from the occupied West Bank. In fact, in this period of supposed “peace-making”, Israel colonised Palestinian land at the fastest rate ever. In 2001, during his time in opposition, Netanyahu was secretly caught on camera, explaining how he achieved this reversal.
He said he had held on to Palestinian territory, in violation of the Oslo accords, by imposing “my own interpretation to the agreements” so that vast swaths could continue to be defined as “security zones”. He added: “I halted the fulfilment of the Oslo accords.”Was there not pushback from western powers, he was asked. “America is something that you can easily manoeuvre and move in the right direction,” he replied.
Sabotaging peace
What that meant in practice, since the effective end of the Oslo process a few years later, was a series of US presidential initiatives ever-less favourable to the Palestinians.
In 2000, Bill Clinton’s Camp David summits between Israeli and Palestinian leaders failed to hammer out even a minimalist Palestinian state that Israel was willing to accept.
George W Bush’s Road Map for Peace in 2003 half-heartedly tried to resuscitate Palestinian statehood but was stymied by the US accepting 14 impossible Israeli “preconditions” for negotiations, including continuing settlement expansion.
Barack Obama entered office with a grand vision of peace that was quickly sunk by Israel’s refusal to stop expanding its illegal settlements and stealing more land in the West Bank needed for a Palestinian state.
Donald Trump’s 2020 hyped “deal of the century” plan – conducted over the heads of the Palestinian leadership – dressed up annexation of large parts of the West Bank as Palestinian statehood.
Trump’s team also considered a plan to economically incentivise – on the most charitable interpretation – Gaza’s Palestinians to relocate to Egypt’s Sinai desert.
In reality, these two decades of time-wasting while Israel carried on brutalising the Palestinians and taking their land, incentivised not peace but greater Palestinian resistance, culminating in Hamas’ one-day break-out from Gaza on 7 October 2023.
Israel’s response was a genocide in Gaza – one in which Joe Biden became an active partner from the outset, sending bombs to help level the enclave and providing diplomatic cover. Meanwhile, Israel accelerated its de facto annexation of the West Bank undisturbed.
Trump’s latest contribution has been unveiling a “Gaza Riviera Plan“, in which whoever survives of the 2.3 million Palestinians there is “cleaned out” and the enclave rebuilt with Gulf money as a playground for the rich.
Reports this week of a watered-down version of the plan suggest Tony Blair, the war criminal who oversaw the destruction of Iraq two decades ago with George W Bush, may be appointed effective “governor” of a Gaza in ruins.
Hollowed out
So why now, after 30 years of the West conspiring in this slow-motion eradication of Palestine – a state long recognised by the rest of the world – have several western capitals broken ranks with the US and recognised Palestinian statehood?
The short answer is that such recognition is now relatively cost-free.
In typical fashion, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer made the announcement as he pulled the rug from under his own act of recognition by dictating what kind of state Palestine would have to be.
Not a sovereign one, in which the Palestinian people made their own decisions, but one that echoed Rabin’s “entity less than a state”.
Starmer insisted Hamas – Gaza’s elected government and one of Palestine’s two main political factions – could play no part in running this state. The Palestinian state would also, of course, have no military to defend itself from the genocidal state next door.
A report this week in the Telegraph indicates that, even after formal recognition, Starmer is still imposing new conditions designed to hollow out his declaration. They include:
– demands for new Palestinian elections – elections that can only take place with Israel’s permission, which it will not give;
– an overhaul of any latent Palestinian nationalism Israel objects to in the Palestinian education system, even as Israel’s own education system has long been laced with genocidal incitement;
– a requirement that the Palestinian Authority not compensate families of anyone Israel declares a “terrorist” – which pretty much covers any Palestinian killed or jailed by Israel.
In other words, the Palestinian state “recognised” by Starmer is envisioned as the same sham, completely dependent “entity” Israel has been abusing for 30 years.
That was always the West’s two-state “vision”.
‘Reward for terror’
But the deeper truth Starmer’s recognition is intended to obscure is that, if there is no Palestinian territory left – Gaza is razed and its population dead or cleansed, and the West Bank annexed – statehood becomes moot.
That is what is meant when the media talk about recognition being chiefly “symbolic”. Starmer and others see it as amounting to little more than a retrospective rap on knuckles for Israel not playing fair.
It is a cost-free exercise because, while Israel feigns indignation about recognition serving as a supposed “reward for terrorism”, it and its patron in Washington know nothing tangible is really at stake.
If the Trump administration were vehemently opposed even to symbolic recognition – as earlier administrations appear to have been, when statehood might have been realisable – who really imagines Starmer or Canada’s Mark Carney would have dared step out of line?
Further, recognition sends an entirely false message to their own publics that these western capitals are “doing something” for the Palestinians. That they are standing up to Israel, and behind it the US.
Starmer is especially keen to send such a message when he is about to face an annual Labour party conference two years into a genocide he has been openly backing.
Recognition is a giant deflection exercise, an image-laundering operation, that ignores the substantive reality: that, aside from this “symbolic” act, these western states continue to arm Israel, train Israeli soldiers, provide Israel with intelligence, trade with it, give it diplomatic support.
Starmer still warmly greets in Downing Street the Israeli president, Yitzhak Herzog, who at the outset of the slaughter in Gaza offered the central rationale for genocide, arguing that no one in Gaza – not even its 1 million children – were innocent.
Not only will recognition of Palestine not improve the situation of Palestinians but it will not demand any change of behaviours from Israel and its western patrons either. It will continue to be business as usual.
Complicity in occupation
But there is a final reason why some western governments are now raising their voices in support of Palestinian statehood. To save their own skins.
Unlike Washington, which treats with open contempt international law and the international courts invested with upholding it, many US allies fear their vulnerability.
Unlike the US, they have ratified the Convention Against Genocide and they are subject to the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court in the Hague, which can put their officials on trial for complicity in war crimes.
This month was marked not just by the recognition of Palestine by Britain, France, Canada, Australia, Belgium, Portugal and a handful of small states.
Far less noticed, 18 September was the deadline set by the United Nations General Assembly for Israel to honour a ruling last year from the International Court of Justice that it withdraw its “unlawful presence” from the occupied territories.
It is not just that Israel is flouting this resolution – the international community’s attempt to implement the World Court’s ruling. Over the past year Israel has headed in exactly the opposite direction: it has intensified its destruction and ethnic cleansing of Gaza, and is poised to annex the West Bank.
Entirely separate from the issue of genocide, the UN resolution also requires states to end arms transfers to Israel and enforce sanctions until it ends the occupation.
Britain and the others presumably hope that they can cook the books to argue that they did not understand there was a genocide in Gaza until it was all but over – at the point, a year or two down the road, when the ICJ issues its ruling.
But they cannot make that same argument – “We did not know”– about the World Court ruling on the illegality of the occupation.
It should hardly need pointing out that dismantling the occupation of the Palestinian territories is the flip side of establishing a Palestinian state. They go hand in hand.
Britain and others need an alibi – feeble as it is – to argue that they are respecting the ICJ ruling and not complicit in aiding the occupation, even as their actions prove the precise opposite.
They are not only helping to prop up the genocide in Gaza. Their trade ties, arms sales, intelligence-sharing and diplomatic manoeuvres are also essential to the maintenance of Israel’s illegal occupation.
Pariah status
If there is a small hope to be derived from these western states’ grudging recognition of Palestinian statehood, it is of the unintended consequences variety.
Recognition may yet force on their leaders linguistic and legal gymnastics so extreme that they are further discredited with their publics and pressure grows inexorably for more meaningful change.
Either way, Israel’s ever-greater pariah status seems guaranteed.
But no one should take Starmer, Macron, Carney and the others at their word. If the establishment of a “viable” Palestinian state were really their goal, these leaders would already have imposed on Israel sanctions and diplomatic isolation.
They would be shunning visits from Israeli officials, not welcoming them. They would be vowing to uphold the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Netanyahu, not allowing him, as France did in July, to use its air space to travel to the US.
They would not be turning a blind eye to Israel’s repeated attacks on aid flotillas to Gaza on the high seas. Rather, like Spain and Italy, they would at the very least be seeking to protect their own citizens. Better still, they would have set up by now their own naval armadas to bring food to a starving population in Gaza.
They would be drawing parallels with Russia – and impose a trade embargo on Israel, ending its economic privileges, to echo the more than a dozen EU rounds of measures against Moscow.
Instead, they are still aiding Israel as it demolishes the last buildings in Gaza, while it starves the population and ethnically cleanses them.
Don’t believe a word Starmer and the rest tell you. There is as much chance of Palestinian recognition tempering their complicity in Israel’s crimes as the Oslo “peace” process – celebrated by their predecessors – did a generation ago.
In fact, the evidence suggests that, as happened with Oslo, Israel will use this latest “concession” from the West to the Palestinians as the pretext for expanding and intensifying its atrocities, with Washington’s blessing. Already, Israel is reported to have shut the main crossing into the West Bank from Jordan, to further strangle what little aid is reaching Gaza and heighten the West Bank’s isolation.
Starmer, Macron and the rest are war criminals who in a rightly ordered world – one where international law had clout – would already be in the dock. Their current manoeuvrings must not be allowed to let them off the hook.’

‘A Trump insider and longtime friend of Charlie Kirk tells The Grayzone how the assassinated conservative leader’s turning point on Israeli influence provoked a private backlash from Netanyahu’s allies that left him angry and afraid. The source said anxiety spread within the Trump administration after an apparent Israeli spying operation was uncovered. Charlie Kirk rejected an offer earlier this year from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to arrange a massive new infusion of zionist money into his Turning Point USA (TPUSA) organisation, America’s largest conservative youth association, according to a longtime friend of the slain commentator speaking on the condition of anonymity. The source told The Grayzone that the late pro-Trump influencer believed Netanyahu was trying to cow him into silence as he began to publicly question Israel’s overwhelming influence in Washington and demanded more space to criticise it.
In the weeks leading up to his September 10 assassination, Kirk had come to loathe the Israeli leader, regarding him as a “bully,” the source said. Kirk was disgusted by what he witnessed inside the Trump administration, where Netanyahu sought to personally dictate the president’s personnel decisions, and weaponised Israeli assets like billionaire donor Miriam Adelson to keep the White House firmly under its thumb.
According to Kirk’s friend, who also enjoyed access to President Donald Trump and his inner circle, Kirk strongly warned Trump last June against bombing Iran on Israel’s behalf. “Charlie was the only person who did that,” they said, recalling how Trump “barked at him” in response and angrily shut down the conversation. The source believes the incident confirmed in Kirk’s mind that the President of the United States had fallen under the control of a malign foreign power, and was leading his own country into a series of disastrous conflicts.
By the following month, Kirk had become the target of a sustained private campaign of intimidation and free-floating fury by wealthy and powerful allies of Netanyahu – figures he described in an interview as Jewish “leaders” and “stakeholders.”
